The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

Update 10/31/20: Sorry for the temporarily broken link, the game is back up and ready for download! :)

http://www.mediafire.com/file/21jw39zoxdyt8ns/CvR.zip/file

At long last, Clucksworth has the chance to escape from the desert cactus farm he's been living in his whole life. Only one thing stands in the way - the Road. It's a short, cartoony game with a few unusual puzzles to solve. There are tons of interactions with items and backgrounds, so look, touch and talk to everything (especially if you're bored :). And a built-in hint system if you get stuck or can't figure out what the heck I was thinking! Hope you enjoy it, it's my first released AGS game and I welcome any and all constructive critique. Happy gaming!

AGS Awards Nominations

Nominated, Best Short Game 2006

15 people commented on this game (newest first):

I love the way this was nominated for Best Short Game 2006, and well it is hilarious. The inventory being an egg can make it hard to see sometimes (polystyrene cup on a white background etc), but it is quite easy to look past that and enjoy.

Amazing story!

Very very silly, and very funny.
A job well done.

The first time ever I saw a in-game hint system in AGS.

Great humor, graphics and puzzles. Good twist ending. My only complaint is that the first solution was obvious to me and it took me like 15 minutes to figure out how to get the straw from the cup because I couldn't see the interact/hand button in the egg... it's so light. But otherwise, amazing game.

Loved it! Really nice presentation and lots of cute humor. The hint oracle was pretty amazing and completely unexpected, and went along well with the game's entire attitude of fun. Considering that the game will talk you through itself if you need the help, I certainly don't think this game would risk frustrating anyone, so I'd call it a must download. Too fun and too brief to pass up!

Great little game, especially for the obsessive types that have to try clicking everything on everything.

I love this game! It's so funny and witty, and the egg was incredible and totally unexpected. Thank you!!

Enjoyable little game. The puzzles are funny and well-made, as well as humorous. I especially like all the different comments that pops up when you're doing applying the wrongs stuff. The in-game help was good, and I actually needed that at one point.

The ending is good, and I had a laugh over that. Poor chicken.

Just one thing to say about this cute little game: LOL.

I liked it. Nice hint feature, which confused me a bit though. When the game finished I was surprised, because I thought there was still supposed to be couple of things to do. :)

Good use of basically one scene and good lenght for a game like this. Thank you!

Strange Visitor, this is the only AGS game that I have ever actually posted about on other sites--it was that fun! I laughed my head off. This is one of the most hilarious little games I've ever seen. Original idea, hilarious content, great ending--superb from beginning to end.

The only thing that needs to be changed is the chicken's walk speed, which is incredibly slow. The rest of the game is great.

Very clever puzzles, excellent animations and funny text. The music really adds a lot to the atmosphere. One of the best games I've played lately.
