The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

A game that looks very rough around the edges, but is actually quite a charming game.

I ended with ending 4/6, and also managed to get 6/6. Will be trying to get the other endings :)

One of the best games I have played. 9's all the way As for the graphics there better then I could do so you wont get any complaints from me. I got ending 2/6 and I'm getting ready to start again now for the rest. Two thumbs up if you haven't played it get it now.

Ah, how bad graphics can hurt a game.

Well, at least only in the first few minutes or so. When you load the game you'll probably think "Oh hum, just another small game someone whipped up using MSPaint graphics. It's probably not much, should be an easy 5 minute timewaster."

Thing is, then you'll start to notice the detail in the writing, and the quality of the dialogs, and will even feel refreshed by the possibilities of having a sidekick who is so... different. ;)

With 6 different endings (which I haven't seen yet), which should be animated for a greater reward for the player, this game is the perfect example of how much the graphics DO and DON'T get in the way of the story. A lesson to us all... and a darned fun game to play!

The graphics weren't so good, but that problem is insignificant when considering the immersive gameplay and great storyline.

Really nice game, lots of hidden stuff and ways to change the story and the ending, but: I can totally understand the pain of not finding anyone to help with graphics, but some basic things (not using jpg, cropping images without pixel borders) would have greatly improved the looks of the game.

Anyway, good decision to concentrate on story and immersion, even if the appearance has suffered; somebody should rev that thing up with reamped graphics and it will be absolute killer.

Very nicely done, with a neat plot, humorous dialogue and decisions throughout the game that affect the final outcome. The graphics aren't the best, but it doesn't spoil the enjoyment of the game. There is many a point too where you'll be scratching your head over what you need to do next, but everything is logical, and the puzzles are original for the most part.
