Infection - Episode 2
|Infection - Episode 21 - The station|
|Length||Medium / Full|
Infection - Episode 2 - The station is an in-development freeware game, created with AGS. As with the first episode, the game is a one-man solo-operation by WHAM, with only music coming from an outside source.
While the first game was extremely simple and streamlined, the second episode is aiming to add depth and re-playability, by making the game more open-ended and having a game-spanning metagame running in the background, altering the game as it is played.
- True time system
- The game is played in real-time, and the speed at which the player responds to his objectives will alter the outcome of the game
- The panic button
- The player's own reaction times will be transferred into the game via quick-time events.
- Resource management
- Everything is a resource that must be conserved: time, ammunition and allies will all play an important role, and the player's own actions will alter the availability of these resources drastically
'The station' will feature an all-original soundtrack by Tony 'Ferrara' Caven.
The game takes place in the year 3118, only a few months after the events of the first game. Michael Owen, the game's protagonist, is in for a rude awakening aboard an unknown space station with no recollection of how he ended up there. Only one thing is sure, the infected are back and this time there are more than one of them!
