To be frank, Germany just took it as an excuse to get candy, drink weird stuff, and get a stab at cosplay.
Not complaining :D

Also I have an extra key for Hollow Knight if anyone wants it.

I'd gladly take it!

Obviously, I would never hug someone in real life.

Can we at least hug your beard? Just a little?

I see a lot of very smelly stuff in my job. I like to go in there claiming, "I can hold my breath for ten minutes."
No-one gets it though. F*kken CoD players... :=

It's huggable AND delicious! (laugh)

Sounds like fun and it didn't take to long to find, but! For a true plug, always provide a direct download link. Always make it easy for people to get your stuff :)

Funny how it kinda looks like we are all trying to kill each other though...

It's a group hug sir. Some sacrifices must be made. Now get in there again!

I would gladly contribute in any way I can as well.

Great, you do the coding and the art!

I volunteer to do voice hugging!

Also: Hugs, guys!

My coding's a bit rusty but IIRC the problem is that you attempt to change a cursor mode ON clicking. AGS is a bit finniky in tht respect: You are in a mode when clicking and then you change to another mode which is then not processed because you already clicked and triggered the event.

Instead of setting the mouse.mode, try the command ProcessClick(mode), where mode would be eModeLookAt or eModeUseInv. The latter actually selects the inventory item. Should work alright.

DUDE! Apart from "Hausu", which I've never heard of, unless you meant "House", all of those films are on my favourites list!

Hausu is asian oddball splatter crack at its finest. Basically the asian version of Evil Dead, only instead of the TREE there's a PIANO.

Watch, and learn :D

I'm gonna go and steal Ponch's checklist:

Curses/witchcraft: The Witches (1990)
Possession/demonic: Poltergeist
Undead (zombies/vampires): Poultrygeist (No, really, that is a movie. Classic Troma flick. It's awesomesauce with extra kibble!)
Ghost stories: Mama
Slasher flicks: Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
Psychological horror: Oculus
Creatures/monsters: The Fly (1986)
Comedy/parody: Beetlejuice
Miscellaneous horror: The Call
Miscellaneous not-necessarily horror: The Thing (1982)

Riddle me this...

I'm a child playing chess with tomorrow,
I'm anything my mama don't like.
I'm a clown and I beg, steal and borrow
anything my mama don't like.

Cheers to the knights and days of old
the beggars and the thieves.
Living in an enchanted wood
under a violet Moon.

Shine one on the other's trademark. What do you get.

The Rumpus Room / Re: I'm back. What did I miss?
« on: 21 Aug 2018, 21:12 »
There was a shortage of dancing cows, so I had to sew teeny tiny little cow costumes and dress up my niece's hamster.

It wasn't the same, really.

Yay! Gimme a bit to think of a riddle!

Bunny, that would be a fun little background event for sure. Not something I'd have implemented though, but that's a matter of taste. I thought it more fun for the player to actively try out the weirdest things and then the world reacting to that. I never really got it fleshed out though and I think it would be quite a challenge to keep track of what the player did and how the office gets more and more interrupted by his imagined adventures.

Still, I'd absolutely download and play the hell out of ANY GAME that has fairies pop out of coffee makers.

Had an odd idea once where a normal office worker went through his daily routine and faced a couple of very mundane little obstacles- long line at the coffee machine, stapler not working, papers to be signed and what have you. Everyday stuff.
You could solve all these obstacles in a completely sensible, realistic fashion, which would result in a normal day in a cube-drone's life.
OR you could don several masks- ninja, cowboy, pirate etc and tackle the obstacles in an over-the-top and elaborate genre-specific way. Basically living out a child's fantasy in a mundane world, the solutions would all be very cool and unpractical, of course. Much harder than "just making it through the day", but that was the whole point :)

It was a silly little idea but looking back at it I think there'd be fun to be had here. If someone can take some spark of a game from it, you're welcome!

Profile pic fixed... (Thanks snarky!)
Manly tears shedded about Chance of the Dead fanart... (Creamy, did you draw that? It's amazing!!!!)
Having been ghostwhispered at... (Hi Tabby o/ )
Survived late-night Nerf shootout... (I think it was a tie...)

Man this is turning into regular logins :=

Oh, and please fix the link to your DeviantArt account in your AGS profile!

Done, cat, and glad you like them fishy ladies!
Argh. And now AGS lost my profile pic?
Gotta reupload that again too? Aaaaaah :panic:

Pretty funny actually, I found this here thread because I came here to download AGS again, just to see what had happened to the old toolbox. Seems to be in good shape too!

So again, carry on guys and gals. Off to work now... spread some pixel art and fancy coding around for me

guys, lrn how to stalk:
How... just... how?!? 8-0

Selmiak has the ghostwhispering build in. It's a German thing ;)

Guys, please let me say how touched I was when I found this post by accident. Leaving a community behind that I had been a part of for a long time was odd and weird but seeing that people still care, well. Gee.

I'm fine. I've been through a lot back then but things have turned out to just be a rocky road to a worthy goal. I don't think I'll ever get really back into AGS but that's nothing to do with anyone here, the
community as a whole or the way AGS started to change shape. I have enjoyed my time here and I made a lot friends, some of which I still meet on the interwebs occasionally.
Don'tya worry, the Ghost's out there doing good. If anyone wished to drop me a line, I'm on deviantArt as selmiak already linked, and I am on Steam as lostcraft_ghost if anyone want to make friends with me there.

Have a great time and enjoy the game making!
