Yeah Clock Tower on SNES (named 'First Fear' for PSX version to avoid confusion with other game) was something else. That game was very complex for a SNES game with its multiple endings, although strange thing is that the canon ending is 'B' i believe (everyone dead except Jenny). Clock Tower 1 on PSX, was also very good except for shitty 3D. Clock Tower 2 was the last from adventure game type trilogy, but also the worst. It had no connection to story from previous games and instead it follows some zombie bullshit and gameplay sucked (so-called 'battles'). Still, Bates was a funny element of game but...yeah u guessed it, they screw uped his gameplay role also since there were no logic behind riddles where player had to change persona leading to non stop trial and error. Very, very bad game design. No wonder developer went to hell.

I am at the part of the game after
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
the boy eats the candy and you pick up the wrapper. As far as I know I have gone into every room except the doors you need a key for and I can't get far into the basement without a light.
I would appreciate any hints.

Go into lobby with stairs and ghost, and go to donwstairs right room. Go 2 more screens and you will find toilet with boy in it.

Holy cow this is so lovely animated! Really good stuff! I wish you that your game sells well enough so both of you can quit your jobs and start making games for a living.

hey thx for ur reply (and ur time for changing animation---> im sitting here for hours and hours for some little animations -.-^^), i thought about body movements but i was not really sure to add it. I guess the character looks much more alive now and i can work with that. thanks! :)
Its difficult to draw good looking animations with such low res pixelart. Not many pixels to manipulate.

You know best what's good for your game because all i can see is some animated guys and pixelart backgrounds. You know things i dont know about the game since you know entire concept, not just shards.

Every little animation counts, this is how you gain skills:).

Great looking game, but there is one thing in screenshot 2 that seems odd. How come the flame was so strong that it did burn the ceiling, but not bed, wall and the painting?

I added some body movement, changed some frames for legs while trying to keep cartooney looking animation.

Ooh Shadow, it's my first AGS game, so yeah, there are bugs :~( but I thank you for playing it, one way or the other. Not only you, but everyone here.

Very good first game. I hope that you continue releasing. However, I need to emphasize the importance of having a few people test it before release. Many people on this forum are happy to test and report bugs.

Puting aside bugs (dissapearing cursor, illogical teleport spots) and some issues like missing walk behind areas, the game actually was fun for a quickie:). GJ.

This is actually nice, but it could look a lot better with some aditional little animations like water dripping from mans hair, fingers and streaming down his face.

But its good in this form too:).

Many of these are acually pretty good as a reference in making 2D. Really good library. Keep up the good work - i know you will because you seem to enjoy yourself while taking these photos:) .

Personaly i dont think anyone would do copyright strike aganist this game since its going to be a freeware. It simply do not calculate when there are no money involved.

I also do not consider using real life actors as a failed concept. Actualy it may be GREAT if you put them in the roles of characters that match them. And if you find people with silimar voices then thats a win.

Im really looking forward for this game to see what it will become. Uncle C. approves so far:).

Now this is something great. Pixel art consisting of only black and white. It's very difficult to make something out of this, and maybe not all rooms are great but most of them are really well done.

I feel inspired by this type of presentation. Good challenge.

Whats the exact resolution of this and your other game (Kira Hara 2)if i may ask?
