@CaptainD: I just bought your game and once hopefully more people will do it you'll join us in no time :-D
But I actually bought it since cat highly recommended it to me.

My thanks to both of you!  Sales aren't enough yet to think of a trip but maybe a couple of beers in your honour 8-)

I love the idea, it's going to be some years before I could afford it though.  Hope others are in a better financial state and that you can meet up with some of them! :)

Pillars is BACK in production after a considerable hiatus.

Just in time, too.  I'd been thinking of bugging you with one of my occasional "are you still going to release the game" emails!

Do people think Broken Sword is ONLY about a broken sword?
For years i thought Broken Sword is a middle age game, similar to King's Quest and even thought it is same with King's Quest (laugh)

Don't ruin what I thought was a perfectly valid point! :-D

Hmm.  Looks like some shareware Lemmings'inspired game but... no idea what it's called.

Can we use games that are actually released from now on?

TBH I think that would be nice - unless maybe it's stated that the game in question is still in production etc?

Brilliant, thanks so much CW!!

Beginners' Technical Questions / DisplayAtY question
« on: 19 Jun 2018, 22:12 »
Is it not possible to put a variable into a DisplayAtY expression?

Code: Adventure Game Studio
  1. DisplayAtY(200, "Cats are on the prowl... they manage to kill %d of your rats", num)
returns the error wrong number of parameters in call to 'DisplayAtY' - it works fine with Display but I want to position the text displayed.  Am I missing something obvious or is it simply a limitation of this particular function?  I can't find anything explicit in the manual about this.

The repellent sisters lurched

There's some suspicion of match-fixing here... (laugh)

For one week only, you can get Captain Disaster at a mighty 56% discount including music and ambient SFX too loud to hear Mandle's voice acting (at least to his liking)!

Is that the Quest for Infamy sequel -Roehm to Ruin?

Well done Cat!

Aw man I really need Belgium and England to win today just to keep me off the bottom of the table... (though thankfully Player 18, Player 19 and Player 20 seem unlikely to pick up any points :-D)

Looks cool!  All the best with development.

Just to add to my comments on the MAGS thread, this was a fun game with mostly easy puzzles (but one or two slightly trickier ones), and a lot of fun banter between the characters.  My young daughters loved it too!

Thanks Matt!

Just getting the rest of the game features in place and working on balancing it all before I add the campaigns...

Shockingly few references to Dean and the gang I'm afraid, perhaps I can add some later! ;)

Ugh this game is tough, I like it though so will continue playing until I have a half-decent character

Thanks Lorenzo ;-D

A little peek at how the updated GUI is looking... got a few more things to implement in addition to the obvious omissions on this screen:
