Yes please. Since the Sprite Jam is on vacation, lets have a 'Lure of the Template' competition.

I hope you are satisfied with the responses you got so far, ClickClickClick. Appreciated that you apologize in all your three posts. Welcome to the forums!

As ClickClickClick said, maybe the red of her shirt is a bit too bright and saturated. And in side view, you could experiment with adding a pixel more length to her shoes. Same for her her throat in front view.

Else your sprite looks fine, I like it!

Sorry for bumping this old thread. Yet all the arguments are still valid, AGS blog is probably not coming back.

Maybe the gained room on the main page gives opportunity for something new.

Oh, I totally forgot. Stupot+, yes, we do need a new watercoloured first-person-adventure using the PowerNap codebase from you.

Also, dearest belated Happy Birthday to you, Stu! I imagine your party like the Tanabata celebrations on 7th July, right?

Happy Birthday, qptain Nemo! Hopefully your dream, an own deep-sea submarine in lime-green colour, will come true!

Ibispi - 3 - Been loop-listening to this Bitwig-arranged song during long pixel-sessions - personally feeling the desire of longing for someone. I'm enjoying the fine mix of icewind chills, carefully placed breaks and sputtering 8-bit sounds. Therefore a fitting title. Added to my longplaylist. Can recommend also his worthwile Twitch streams on occasion.

bicilotti - 2 points - Impressively composed with abc music in ViM texteditor, on a ten+ year old notebook with broken LCD display. Yet nothing can becloud the beautiful clearness and strict musicality of baroque chamber music. So one point for using efficient computing as logical counterpart of Bach's epoch. And plus 1+ more for applying opensource instrument sound libraries. Well done!

Creamy - 1 point - And I thought Marc being just an overly talented painter and animation artist from France. Now he's also stunning in composing. Or, like in 'Her number on my palm', in collaging tracks with relaxed electronic beats and straightforward guitar play. Catchy track, with the second half being the best.

xBraneX - Underrated in this competition, yet worth your time: An open sounding ambient wavescape, mixed with dolphin sounds and a reduced, iterative base melody. I like it, reminds me a lot of space travelling internet radios. (Besides, not being appraised enough is also kinda cool. Some of the best albums like The Beach Boys 'Pet Sounds' were overlooked at their time.)

So I have to wait till first sunrays of dawn, I guess.

* gets brought back into her cell

Just saying, the polite and quiet qptain_Nemo wrote years and years on a fantastic new game engine. This tiny demo he shows here is a world premier. A first glimpse with programming art of an actual much larger commercial game.

He alone deserves attention, and really should be everone's watchlist (Amy makes bookmark-placing sound). Since he will surprise us all with what his team is pulling of.

Hello abstauber,

sorry that this keeps annoying you, I apologize. Yes, I agree, it's pretty disrespectful. It's solely  a personal issue between me and Snarky from the past. The moderators though have the last word and decided to settle this in the background.

So, I'd like to use this PM before my account gets closed to thank you for your community efforts as well as making such lovely games in the past. I liked them, and play them by and then again.

Farewell,
Amélie

abstauber, thank you for asking.
With a bit of luck, I can keep this "Embla, what's wrong?"- thread (after it has been moved to the Rumpus room), and post only here by re-editing. Just like IceyGames with all things Oceanspirit D.

Ahoy qptain_Nemo, great progress, I'm impressed!

Wonderful how the galleon navigates over the black sea, catching a light ocean breeze. I wonder what unknown lands and treasures lie before us.

A timeless and well-rounded interface should ship with AGS Classic. Pleasant UI design is not easy, so we should set the bar with an already good one.

Nice, Ogon. The enchanted sound of the Schwarzwald. I could almost see the fairies romantically waltzing with the bees on a forest meadow.
In German, there's even a saying: Im dichten Fichtendickicht tanzen die Feen tüchtig.

It has been a great time ever since. Thank you!
