It's due to using http links rather than https when you're loading the forum over https, here the videos work:

Think you mean and not ? :O (interesting coincidence btw)

Congrats on the release! I've always loved your art style! :), will try give this one a go!

Hosting on Gamejolt, not exactly, but making it much easier to enter/upload and vote, without having to be forced to have an account on the forums.

I don't see how that would be a problem nor why AGS "team" and us AGSers wouldn't want AGS to be mentioned in games even if not made in AGS 8-0.
Loving the art etc btw! :) Hope you find the team you are looking for! :)

Yeah I vaguely remembered mention about this splash screen way back, turns out I even voted myself ;).

Multiple icons should be a no no imo.. we already have multiple icons/logos in use to represent AGS across the site/forums and in the editor which is another thing I don't like.
The site/forum logo is completely different to the favicon used and again completely different to the logo/icon in the editor.
We really should come up with an icon/logo that can be used everywhere, instead of having different ones everywhere..  ??? :-\

I would've brought my opinion in sooner, but I've been too busy lately to pay much attention to the forums.
I understand your frustration with this Crimson, so if not now, I think this is definitely something to put on the "todo list" for a potential AGS4.

Saying that, this change obviously makes sense, and for all I know I'm the only one who dislikes the logo ;).
(One dislike being I get too much of windows office 365 feel from it)

I know this has now already been merged into master, however I still feel I should voice my opinion.

Personally I dislike the logo itself, and even more so the "improved" icon, and feel we should rather do a more retro style logo focusing on the origins of AGS and pixel art
(even though many of us, including me, want AGS to evolve to become a more modern friendly engine with multi platform support etc).

CaesarCub did this one in less than 5 minutes yet I feel this one portrays AGS much better than the current one.

I think to increase voting we need to increase the interest in MAGS, and I don't think keeping it tied to the forum is the best case for this.

It's definitely something we should consider trying to do something about especially if AGS4 becomes anything (so far there seems to be multiple opportunities for it to be).
It'd be nice to see MAGS attract even more people to try AGS.

Now it says "Game Type::" (or maybe it already did)

"easy to learn, pleasure to use".  Btw, that could be a cool marketing slogan.

I like it!

The download is disabled by the author on the AGS archives, btw.

Well that is a "lie", it was disabled by me, but the AGSA code doesn't yet have any text/status for such a case so it's showing the default disabled text.
I disabled it after receiving and email from Chaosium.... :undecided:

I think keeping multi-platform in mind when doing a new version (4?) would be smart even if initially there would be no plans to support it (when choosing 3rd-party libraries etc).
Though I pretty much agree with all your points LimpingFish.

Recruitment / [NON-AGS HELP WANTED] Looking for designers (web/logo) copywriters and backend/frontend devs!
« on: 20 Apr 2017, 14:23 »
Can't share much details here but if you are, or know any designers (web/logo) copywriters or backend/frontend devs give me a shout!
I can share more info over PM, on IRC ( #clubgalen) or in the Club Galen discord:

For backend/frontend, it will most likely involve usage of:
CoffeeScript (or possibly babel/flow)

It's for a project related to AGS hence why I'm posting here :)

I'm also not sure making AGS commercial is the solution or even a good choice, there are many other ways of raising funds if it were needed for further development of AGS.
There could be "sponsors", that donate a set amount of money per month for having their logo placed on the website and so on.

I'd love to see AGS grow and become better and more modern without loosing it's "ease of developing adventure games", but whatever its fate, I'll be here archiving whatever games are made with it as long as I'm capable of typing and paying my server bills :=

When was the last time this community raised funds for anything, charity or servers? 5 years ago wasn't it?

slasher, probably because the forum embeds the video a different way to how the site does it. On AGS game pages, an <iframe> element is used, while in forum posts an <object> element is used.

March issue now available in online form:
