1. Create a new game with game defaults
2. Replace the whole contents of file room1.asc with the following code:
Code: Adventure Game Studio
  1. // How to mess up the compiler line numbering
  2. function f()
  3. {
  4.     // There once was a man of Japan,
  5.     // whose limericks never would scan.
  6.     // When asked why this was,
  7.     // he said: "It's because
  8.     // I always cram as many words into my last lines as I possibly can!"
  9. String s = "__NEWSCRIPTSTART_";
  10. }
  11. Oops!
  12.
3. Hit f5
4. Note in the "Output" window that the coding error "Oops" is flagged for line 2, not line 11 where it really is.
