What is a Photoshop Phriday?

Photoshopping isn't drawing a completely new image -- It's editing images to create a new image, such as editing one image or combining several images. The contest usually lasts for a fortnight. Also, you don't have to specifically use Photoshop -- Paint Shop Pro, MSPaint, or any other programs can be used. Please make sure your image doesn't exceed the width of the screen.

Soo, Mittens went, and here we are again, presented with a load of new photos

So, the theme this time is Putting the Mittens photos into context.

I will now make a desparate attempt to explain: Rather than changing picture description to match what is happening in the picture, change the picture to match the description. That is not an actual, guideline, just... ah, whatever. Here's a quickly whipped up example:

m0ds finds... a gun?

(I'm not here to win this competition, you see.)

EDIT: Let me clarify: You are not supposed to photoshop an image and make description for it. You are supposed to edit the picture so it fits the existing description. Thanks for your time

Entries can be basicaly anything, as long as it involves a modified image?

They can be anything, as long as the modified image is one of the Mittens photos, and the modification is made to make the image "match" it's description.

Ok... pardon my ignorance, but I'll take this opportunity to ask: why the hack moderators are called "mittens?".

I've googled "mittens", but all I got was fingerless woolen gloves. "-Huh?..." Maybe it's a language barrier thing... maybe I'm just extra-dumb (

Ah. You people got it all wrong. Lemme explain:

First go here: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=22346.0 Search the post for links to various Mittens photos. Often the photos have silly description, for example: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/mittens2005/DSCF0088.html

So you would Photoshop that picture with blood all over the knife and on m0ds' clothes. You would also Photoshop m0ds face so that it doesn't look like he is smiling. Then the description "JetXL wipes that smile off m0ds' face." would be correct. Get it?

Mittens is the annual AGS Meeting. Most people who go are not moderators, the Mittens member text just indicates you have been to Mittens, the variations (Initiate, Faithful, Fundementalist, Guru) tell you how many Mittens they have been to.
