Alright, the guidelines for this contest are to write a duet for two instruments. They could be different instruments or the same type of instrument, but just a duet.

In judging the entries, I'll be looking for an imaginative composition and good realization of this composition (quality production, etc.)

Good luck!

Gregjazz

Could be either... just two instruments.

"write a duet for two instruments" -- I love how redundant I am. :)

TerranRich

First shalt thou write thy musical duet, and shalt thou count to two, no more, no less. Two shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be two. Three shalt thou not count, neither count thou one, excepting that thou then proceed to two. Four is right out. Once the number two, being the second number, be reached, rock hard, and be awesome.

Hi,

Here is my entry.
I just saw that there aren't many this time, so I decided to enter.
I made it in three minutes.
I didn't have a duet partner so I decided that the human voice is an instrument as well and did the duet part by myself.

It is a love song in german language.
I also improvised the words.

The translation is:

For Love is stronger than death:

"For love is stronger than death.
Stronger than death.
Yes, yes, stronger than death.
...is stronger than death.

Come into my bed.
Come into my bed, young maiden.
I want you in my bed.
In my bed.

Because love is stronger than death.
DEATH!
Love is stronger.
LOVE!"

Wonderful lyrics, aren't they?

Contest over!

I declare the winner Le Woltaire for his comical operatic piece. :)

Though, it would've been more effective with a much dramatically dynamic piano part (mostly just the playing, not arranging), and maybe some more dramatic fast arpeggios, etc. that are cliched to that style. The end is great! ;)

Le Woltaire

Oh...
Thank you!
I feel very honored.
It must have been a difficult choice between all these pieces.
