MODERATOR NOTE (12/10/2016):

Hello!

This thread is an archive of offers made prior to 2016, which will continue to exist for legacy's sake. Some of the later offers may still stand, but many of the earlier ones probably don't.

For current offers, please see the Offer Your Services! 2016/2017 thread.

Thank you. :)

----------------------------------------------------

It seems you've cleaned out the old entries, so here's mine. :)

Web Designer

I specialize in Drupal sites, and can give you a totally integrated forum, series of galleries, community blog posts, you name it. I can build websites to custom-fit a use case. I'm looking at expanding my portfolio, so the first couple of people that contact me here will get my services and consultations for absolutely free. You don't even have to bribe me with one of your games.  ;)

"Well now," you say casually, "what all can you make with a Drupal site?"

You can have:

-A news site
-A site with reviews of things
-Galleries
-Built-in forums (comes with private messaging, possibly even group functionality if needed)
-An events site.
-A podcasting site
-Something to showcase your game team or company
-A portfolio
-Some kind of user-generated-content thing, like "Texts from Last Night"
-A video portal featuring videos you've done.

Check out my website here.

Please note that I do have to feed myself at some point, so I can only keep this going for so long.

So wait, what do you do?
I build and design websites.

What does that entail?
Graphic design, coding, and CSS work. I can also put some jQuery and HTML5 magic into your site. ;)

Can you do Wordpress?
I really don't like Wordpress very much, but I am competent enough to put sites together in it. However, I'll always argue to use Drupal over it, for a multitude of reasons.

If that promotional thing is over, how much do you charge?
The initial consultation is always, always free. Just private message me, and we'll set up a Skype chat or something to further discuss it. I can't realistically give a price without evaluating the scale of a project. So let's talk about it!
The fediverse needs great indie game developers! Find me there!

I wanted to update my ancient post, this gives me the opportunity to do so.

Translation - English to French

I am a freelance translator, and when work is slow (which is uncomfortably often if you ask me) I want to practice and hone my skills. And what better way to do it than with an AGS translation ?
I am a native French speaker and I've already translated two AGS games, both Maniac Mansion Mania episodes (9 and 53).
I can also translate from French to English and proofread your work.
For more information, here is my ProZ.com profile : http://www.proz.com/translator/1309349
Send me a PM if you're interested.

Play-testing

Not exactly as enjoyable as translation, but play-testing can be interesting.
Again, drop me a line if you need this.

Proofreading

If you need your game proofread, in French or in English, tell me what it's about and I may be able to do it.

Hello! I'm an an amateur voice actress & writer, my voice is mainly medium -high. I have a naturally English accent but can do a passable American, as well as kid and creature voices.

Yep, I see we're starting anew with offering of services in the forum.

Since I'm somewhat new to AGS, I may not offer much, but I can serve to aid in brainstorming, and can also serve as a proofreader.  Just ask me in a private message and I can share my email address with you (if you're comfortable with that; if not, then just feel free to share the dialogue and what-not in the private message and I'll check the spelling and grammar for you).

I currently got my stuff to do myself. But I can still give part of my time.

Character Art

I can come up with characters that fit the story or you can tell me what your looking for and I can come up with something.

Take a look at these

WHAM

I can provide beta testing for games in real time.

What this means is that, if we can arrange a schedule and I am interested in your project, I can play a test version of your game while you are watching me do it and we can communicate via Skype as I play. This would allow you to actually SEE how I as a player respond to events in your game, you can get direct and instant feedback and suggestions and you can get an idea of how a player will interact with your game. I also have some experience as an AGS game developer myself, so I can give you some AGS related feedback as well, if you want.

I am offering this as a service as I have noticed that many developers (myself included) end up quite surprised with how players react to their games, and this sort of direct feedback might help many developers get more concrete feedback instead of nonpersonal written bug reports.

To get an idea of what sort of service this might be, check out my youtube channel where I have been playing some AGS games with the developers viewing the gameplay live. While these are not testing situations per-se, they should give you an idea of how this might work.

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1110C8238BA65D7F&feature=plcp

If you are interested, feel free to contact me either via PM or e-mail at wham@whamgames.com

My services are free for non-commercial AGS games, and with commercial projects we can discuss a small fee and/or other possible deals if you are interested.

I went ahead and posted the services I need to get my game going, however I also have services to offer. However I'll mention up front I can't write fantasy, light or dark. I will write you a sci fi story for a video game as long as the game takes place within the last ten years, or no more than 1566 years in the future. My short stories from before are:

Time Travelers Handbook To Serial Murder
Finding Esmeralda

And then I have a comic script for an upcoming graphic novel called: Ajalla The Psycho-Telepath (This story is an exception for me, as it takes place from 1717 to 2017.)

I will write up to 3000 words, but not less than 1000 words. When you hook up, I'll give you an idea of what I want outlined from you.^_-

My deviant art is here: http://otissalmoneus.deviantart.com/

ddq

Will voice act for anyone I don't hate. If I say no it means I hate you.

Jakey

I can do just about anything, to a certain extent :P
Although, I guess I would consider my specialties to be in Scripting and Music. I'm happy and look forward to contribute to any project, time frame permitting. :D

Scripting

As a computer science student I have a fair amount of programming experience, although not much for games, but I'm eager to be presented with the opportunity to find solutions to any and all challenges :)
I have a background in higher level languages such as Java and C/C++, as well as a little Javascript. But I can pick up anything fairly quickly, just like I did with AGS.

Music

I really enjoy writing songs with my guitar and other instruments I can get my hands on. On request I can write a song, including lyrics, on any particular subject and produce an amateur recording.

bonixmusic

We have just released a fresh Atmospheric Sound Design package, ASD Sci-Fi vol.1. This is a perfect compliment to  Atmospheric Sound Design & vol.2. Here's a brief summary for those interested in some killer sci-fi loops!
www.bonixmusic.com/fr_asdscifiv1.cfm
~ Alien and Human Starship Loops ~ Motherships, Midsize, and Shuttles ~ Massive Celestial Space  Bodies
ASD Sci-Fi breaks the mold of your typical sci-fi collection. Our team of engineers crossed the galaxies to capture not only exotic ambient sounds from a massive supernova and other celestial bodies, but were invited to sample amazing vessels ranging from gigantic motherships, mid-size, to shuttle in alien and human crafts. Complex layers have been carefully analyzed and mixed to give these atmospheric cues interest, yet subtle to enhance the mood of your game. Be fully immersed with these cinematic Sci-Fi cues and our other ASD products!

We also work with game developers for custom tracks, non-exclusive and exclusive price points. And a wide variety of styles of royalty-free music for those on a tight budget from ambient cues to fully orchestrated cinematic scores.

Warm Regards,
Peter

Music:

It's been a couple of years since I made an adventure game-soundtrack. Somehow, I miss this time! Composing sountracks always brings out the best for me and I really want to do it again!

I'm not doing any type of chiptune and I don't like orchestral stuff!
My music is:

  • very cinematic
  • full of ambient (real-recorded ambient samples like: wood, water, weather, rocks, porcelain etc..)
  • very acoustic (real instruments, guitar, bass, ukulele, furniture)
  • misty and sometimes melancholic but not depressing and sad

Background art, character art, animation/character animation

hello all!
I am a 2d game designer, specializing in realistic pixel art. classic adventure games are a huge influence for me, and i would love to contribute to a return to story in the video game world.
I work freelance, so I may not be able to accept every project, and of course payed work gets precedence, but if i love your idea, the importance of money may recede. I am interested in making games for adults that have true quality, although i intend to make games that are fun as well.
anyways, please feel free to check out my online portfolio at http://danmillergamedesign.tumblr.com/ and let me know what you think! I can be reached at drm.vidar@gmail.com
hope to hear from you soon.

aguazul

I would like to participate in a project with nice people, I like the background art and characters, the animation does not cost me because I have trouble drawing skills, I am trying to adapt to new technologies that usually work in handicraft, and decided offer to participate without remuneration, but with patience, no rush, and share with people experiecias lover of video games. The only problem is I'm not good with the English language, I'm Spanish in Madrid. and if the work is paid will have more priority. I like the teamwork and now I'm working on I'm desarollando puzzle alone.

Music:

I am completely self-studied musician. I am using huge amount of electronic keyboards, synthesizers, various effects processors and other tools. What makes the difference from the "masses" is that my music is all about sounds and emotions behind them. That is, I create sounds and compose music around the sounds and the music is all coming out of my pure heart. Mostly improvising and playing by hand, I am capturing the most important thing in my music: the (imperfect) expressions of (inadequate) humanity.

About music, I can do almost anything allowing for the limits of my skills, imagination and taste. I like to compose very cinematic orchestral and electro/electronic music (even synth pop) and anything between them, usually in various combinations. I also like ambient and abstract music (like in David Lynch movies) where you can't make difference between instruments and sounds.

Some examples of my work:

P.S, I'm extremely busy the rest of this year (2012) since I am moving into new apartment in December.
Ask if you want me to compose your game.

One thing that I would like to see happen with films is for music not to be treated as just one more ingredient, but as an integral and fundamental part, due to its fatal capacity to affect the mood of the movie.

Music
I offer my services as a composer/music producer.
I can produce music in a wide variety of styles: gentle piano tunes, electronic music, abstract soundscapes, acoustic folk music, big orchestral scores... almost anything is possible, though most of my music has a melancholic, sometimes dark feel to it.
I work freelance, so paid jobs have a higher priority for me. However, I do work for free on non-commercial projects. That is, if your project appeals to me and if I have enough time to do it.
To give you an idea of what my music sounds like, please take a look at my online portfolio:
http://www.problematic-music.com/

Coding / Scripting
I have some experience with various programming languages and game engines, AGS being one of them of course. I'm not afraid of complex scripting, and I have a lot of patience when searching for bugs.

Playtesting
As much as I love making games, I love playing them. I can be quite critical though, so don't expect me to test your game just to tell you how awsome it is ;)

Music

I have made the exciting decision to pursue my childhood passion of becoming a composer and sound designer for games. I have a huge amount of experience as a musician and composer and I am dedicating my time to learning the tools of the industry. With only a brief to work from, I can create a piece of music that fits the style and mood of any project. I can work with MIDI, WAV, MP3 and OGG formats.

I grew up gaming on the Nintendo 64 and the Playstation. Iconic titles such as Zelda, Mario and Final Fantasy inspired me and my musical tastes. I love videogames and music and I look forward to the opportunity where I can share my passion and skills with the world. I am dedicated, passionate and willing to undertake challenges.

In my spare time, I perform with several bands playing piano and saxophone.

Hello, I want to offer services to voice act. I am a male and my native language is American-English, but I'm confident I could do an accent with a little time. I can also play guitar and sing if it's required for whatever reason. I have a home recording studio suitable for music; so quality won't be an issue. I'm also confident that I can come up with a voice for any character.
As of now, the only credit I have is the Urban Explorer in Ben Jordan 8. Please don't hesitate to contact for ANY character, I'd be more than happy to take a shot at any character for free (of course).
I can also send an audition on Dropbox if anyone wants to hear me before committing to anything.

Thank you all for your time.
Jesse.

Well, my game is only a couple weeks old, so I'm far from needing voice, but I'll keep you in mind. :)

I'm a Southerner too, and by the time your game is in need of voices, I should have the spare time to record some. I can do a variety too, from upper crust Savannah to trailer park Tennessee.

Adoxographist

Hey, my name is Adoxographist, and I'd like to volunteer my services as a voice actress! My voice can ranges from mid-low to mid-high, and I have a natural American accent.
If anyone is interested in hearing samples of my work, I have a soundcloud account here, and also a demo reel. Unfortunately, my demo reel is a bit dated, and since having recorded it, I've gotten a new mic... But I'm looking to have it updated soon!
Also, my current set up is a Snowball mic in a makeshift soundbox, if anyone is interested!

In addition to that, I also happen to have a lot of friends who are also voice actors, so if you're ever looking for assistance in casting roles, I'd be more than happy to help with that too!

Either way, if anyone is interested in collaborating together, feel free to PM me! Or if you want to get in touch with me faster, my e-mail is Adoxographist at hotmail.com

Sorry for being yet another music composer offering service...
...but I can't help it.
My name is Zoltan, I'm a Hungarian guy living in London. I'm a self-titled composer, I mean I compose music and that makes me a composer, right? Alas I have no experience in composing music specifically for movies or games or whatnot.
Yet.
In the other hand I've been playing the drums in various bands for almost 20 years so I know what it means to be part of a group and creating art and stuff with others.
I am also an avid gamer and soundtrack fan.
Anyways, I'm not here to sell my music or my talent. I'm here to find people with whom I can create something, preferably unique and valuable. And yes, if it means giving my music for free then I will. But only if I like you. Or the product. Ideally, both.
I'd gladly say that I am your all-around composer but unfortunately I am not (I'm working on it though). I am at my best when there's melancholy/drama/tension involved. I also prefer abstract/psychedelic themes. I like to mix classical music with abstract rhythms and jazzy bits.
I'd rather suggest taking a listen:
http://soundcloud.com/before-after-1
If you find any pieces you would like to use or/and if you would like to work with me feel free to contact me here or at
gyoreize@gmail.com
Or just download the damn stuff from SC, it's downloadable anyway. Just kidding. Don't do that.
Thank you.

Hi,

I'm a programmer/entrepreneur with many years of programming experience, who's looking for individuals or teams to cooperate with on game projects. I'm not expecting compensation, but I would like to participate in projects that have a drive towards eventually becoming financially successful, and maybe the first stepping stone towards funding a game company.

I've worked as head developer for a number of large companies (for instance, Thomson Reuters), and mainly worked with PHP, Javascript, XML and some artificial intelligence languages, but I also have some skill in other types of programming.

I'm mainly interested in the fields of adventure games and RPGs, but would be open to considering other types of games.

Thanks,

Sel

Music:

I have worked on orchestral and game music for eight years. I have had quite a bit of experience in working with fantasy rpg/adventure games. I am dominant in orchestral and fantasy tracks. I love making music for games and seeing everything come together in a finished product. Adventure game music is my passion, and it's something that I will devote my time and effort into.

You do not have to work at a professional level to obtain my help. If you wish for me to offer you my services, please use the contact form on my website or send me a private message with some detail as to what your game is, and what exactly you have in mind.

You can check out my new songs on my website or listen to some of my music below:

The Beast Within
Her Wish (an old song but still worthy to be mentioned)

If your game needs music, then do not hesitate to contact me. I am always eager to learn of projects that need my work. Note: I DO NOT specialize in anime or Japanese RPG music.

Hello there. It seems there are quite a lot of music dudes here, and I plan to join the bunch! :3

I'm an audio geek, 25 years old, situated in Oslo, Norway. I'm currently looking for projects to hop on, preferrably non-commercial.
So, what can I do? Here's a little list. :)

¤ Field-recordings and SFX, ambient soundscapes, etc.
¤ Custom compositional work for trailers or other sorts of videos.
¤ Complete soundtracks, within a wide range of genres.

I'm currently looking for shorter/smaller projects to get more experienced with audio implementation in the AGS engine.
Feel free to get in touch via email or PM. :)

Shopsmart

Hi, just looking for a project to get involved in.

Play-testing
Not my main interest, but enough so that I would enjoy helping out with (because I at least know I have the ability/desire to play video games).
Past Experience:  ....About 24 years of playing video games..

Speech/Talkie Recording
One of my main interests.  I have a naturally medium to deep voice (27 Years old), have on more than one occasion been told I can mimic voices very well and/or should get into radio/cartoon work (which I'd love to do, so I guess this is a good start).  I speak mainly English so other languages would have to be scripted or it'd take me a little time to nail down dialect but I can, I feel, at least range a broad spectrum of deep/rich to high pitched, to multiple accents, as well as giving life to characters.
Past Experience:  Not much, except day to day contact with people, delivering jokes, mocking people etc.

Proof Reading
This would be another side interest.  I feel I have a pretty good grasp of the English language, and reading is simple enough and necessary enough to warrant a need to do it.  That and...I am somewhat a perfectionist when it comes to grammar/spelling...at least to the best of my ability.
Past Experience:  Life.

Story Design
Another one of my main interests.  I'd love to write story plot/outlines, puzzles, and/or script dialogue for pretty much any genre.  I have...to put it modestly, a pretty vivid imagination, I could help with character design too, as far as visualization goes.  However, I feel I can get pretty out there, so it's pretty much limited to what you want to do with your project, that, as well as humor.  I've had many ideas for games so far, which I'm too paranoid/self-conscious to divulge in at the moment, due to lack of skill in some key areas (coding etc.), ranging from rated R, to kid friendly I'll pretty much do whatever, but to me it's mainly about the humor, so I'm pretty laid back when it comes to that.  Again, I'm down for anything, anything's practice.
Past Experience:  Stuck in goofball body.  Spent most of childhood watching cartoons in underwear, eating cereal.  Come to think of it...still do.

So if anyone is interested to get an idea of what I can do, or just want to collaborate feel free to P.M me.
I believe my e-mail is in there as well, for sake of not publicly posting.
Thank you.

Translation: English to Spanish / Spanish to English

My name's Dave Silva. I'm a native Spanish speaker (Mexico) and have a Bachelor's Degree in English / Spanish translation. I'm currently looking for free or paid translation projects to beef up my completely non-existent resume (I graduated with my degree but couldn't find work as a translator so I had to work other jobs to support my family.)

Since my hometown is pretty much dead when it comes to any new job opportunities, I've decided to give freelance game translation a shot. My goal is to get experience so I can build up my resume and potentially get larger jobs later in the year.

I'm a native Spanish (Mexico) speaker but grew up speaking English (US) thanks to my relatives and a steady stream of American books, TV and movies, so I consider myself to be 90 to 95% fluent in the language. Anything that I don't know, I'll look up. Most people who speak to me online in games or message boards don't realize that I'm not a native English speaker. I'm also open to working on other non-game stuff like literature and comics - web or print.

I'm open to working on any kind of game on any platform. I'm interested in translating small to intermediate sized scripts for free. All I ask is that you give me credit and let me list you on my resume and website (along with a sample of my work, with a link to your own website.) Even if your game is something really simple that only needs its instructions translated, I'll gladly do it. I'm also available to translate commercial games - but those would have to be paid for, of course.

Unfortunately, I have no online portfolio to speak of. All I have is my degree. So this is why I'm here, hoping to get material to build one.

If you're interested in giving me a job, please reply or send me a private message. I'm sure we can work something out. Thanks!

If you represent a game studio, a small indie developer team or an individual, I can create great sounding music for your next project!  If you're looking for professional custom cues, prices start at $50 per minute and upwards to $300 per minute. Package deals can be had so let's talk if you're serious about the full production of your game!

For indie game devs that are on a tight budget, I also offer professional royalty-free game music. I'm still running a HUGE discount of 50% off all libraries for the next 10 days! (Purchasing libraries brings some cues to below $0.99).

For Sci-fi music, check out Atmospheric Sound Design (ASD) â€" Volume 1 & Volume 2, ASD Sci-Fi Volume 1. And for a killer deal check out Titan. Titan combines all 3 ASD libraries and expands it with additional songs to over 45 tracks. This also includes spaceship sounds of alien and humanoid.

For RPG & Adventure music, you won't want to miss out on the Kingdom of Light Series. Ranging from battle music, tavern music, mystical music, Victory & Death cues, scenic landscape music and much more, this is perhaps the first of it's kind that brings together an all-in-one music solution for high-quality adventure fantasy games. The list price is already an incredible bargain, but throughout this rest of this month it's absurdly low. For those wanting just tavern music, or battle music, etc.. the Kingdom of Light is also broken down into modules to serve specific needs. The Premium edition is the best bargain which includes all cues, 192 minutes.

Horror or suspense music needed? Check out 'Haunted Nature' and 'Symphony of Suspense' for stingers, swells and loops! Created for motion picture, these will add that extra professional audio touch to your games.

8-bit / sidescroller music? Make your gamers smile with 'cues from 'Happy Music'!

..and don't forget UI sounds!!! - Audio Touch.

If you like what you hear, but need custom music. Shoot me an email and we can discuss what your needs are and work on a solution. I'll be more then happy to work with you to bring your game up to the next level through the great sounding soundtrack. Thanks guys and have a great rest of the wk!

Cheers!

If you need a Icelandic translator for your games let me know.

I only translate from english to Icelandic.

edit-
I thought the admins had delete my thread. I'm new into this so didn't know I putted this in wrong place. Sorry!:-[

Valda

I'm officially offering my volunteer help as a Russian translator. Me and my girlfriend can both also provide the voice acting. We're not professional, but we can get the job done if the game is entertaining enough.

I only ask that the game must be completed in its English version and have some humor to it, and that our role will not be just translators, but voice actors (so we could have some fun with it ;) ).

You can contact me at shieldmaiden24 (at) gmail.com

Construed

Offering 2d/3d art and coding help for any projects that have been long overdue for release.

I am very good at 2d backgrounds. I can do many styles such as cartoony or painted looking.
I am willing to help with any game I can.

Simtrota

Translator - English to Italian

Proof Reading

Hi guys, how you doin'?
I'm a native Italian speaker -- my name's Simone, but I prefer Sim, otherwise everyone can think I'm a French girl... :-\ Which I'm not! Trust me.
I made a bunch of AGS games in my past, and of course I never published them, because I drew my characters from my friends' photos...
Anyway, I want to reconnect with the wondrous AGS world.
I work (also) as a freelance translator, my area of expertise is subtitling (I subtitled a Jimmy Carr's show and proofread the Italian translation of some early George Carlin's gigs, so comedy is my field ;) ).

Send me a PM if you need:
- a totally free and enthusiastic Italian translator for a cool and funny non-commercial game;
- an helping hand, a partial translation or something else;
- someone who can read your italian translation and tell you if it is good or not;
- someone who will not censor your dirty words and also argue about which one is the best in that situation;
or, if you just want to add an Italian translation to your already existing game, let's see what I can do about it.

Just, please, don't give me cruel deadlines, because I'm doing this just for fun! ;) unless you pay me, but that's all another story!

gingersnap

Background Artist - 3D Environments

I'm interested in being involved in any sort of project what wants 3d environment art. Give me a simple sketch (just to show layout, contents of the scene and proportions) or a very detailed description (with reference images preferably) and see what I can do for you! I'm looking for fun little challenges to stretch these 3D skills of mine. Just a little bit of deadline, a hint of accountability and bam, I'll feel like a new artist!

Looking for someone to block out a scene in 3d? That's me!

Looking for someone to finally build that sketch that's been sitting on the edge of your desk? Guess what, me again!

Looking for someone to 3D-ify your pixel art and obsolete-ify your pixel characters? I can totally do that! (You know... if you want...)

Looking for brilliant lighting and models? Making an escape the room game? I am SO TOTALLY THERE!

Looking for fine organic modeling and characters? Uhhh... not so much. Maybe a plant. A little one.

...

No project is too small! Will work for entertaining stories! Send PM for a link to my gallery.

Aye gotta say, you get musicians and testers here in abundance but it's great to see some art offers, indeed, great spock! :D

sithlord1823

I do background art in pencil/chalk/pen and watercolour.

I'm currently creating my own project, but currently searching for a flash character animator / designer (which may hold things up a bit) and I've nearly completed the art for this project so will be looking to help out elsewhere soon enough.

Admittedly, I'm only really good at the art style shown below... I'm not very diverse. I'm also not very good at characters and hopeless at animation.

Looking to work on freeware... as long as I like the vibe etc.... I'm not confident enough that my work is good enough for commercial.

See below for an example of my work from my own project.

Thanks for looking!

Kiira

Hi everybody,

I'm a native Italian speaker and I'm currently working for RuM Corp.(se) Localisation Pro, a team I've made up together with my girlfriend. We both are native Italian speakers and hold a degree in English Translation. We've already worked with Team Effigy and Skygoblin, for the Italian Localization of The Marionette and The Journey Down Chapter One. Moreover, we've recently completed the English Localization (supported by a native English speaker proofreader, Ross Kevin Moffat, who is on this forum as well) of ApeMarina's Donald Dowell and the ghost of Barker Manor. As for English to Italian projects, we localize, proofread and proofgame, no need to ask for additional help. We also take note of every path and dialogue tree of the game, so that every sentence is fully contextualized.

So yes, basically we localize games from English to Italian. We are looking for commercial projects to work on. Since we have just started our business, our fees are low and definitely negotiable. Just tell us your budget and we'll talk it out and find a way to adjust to it.

You can check out our projects at the following links:

The Marionette â€" http://themarionette.teameffigy.com/italiano/

Donald Dowell and the ghost of Barker Manor â€" http://www.freankexpo.net/500/donald-dowell-eng

Unfortunately, The Journey Down Chapter One has not been released yet. However, we have a recommendation letter from Theo Warn and you can easily get in touch with him.

We also translate and publish novels from English to Italian, but that's another story.

You can get in touch with us writing to rumcorp.se@gmail.com

Also, you can check out our website: www.rumcorpse.com

Hello,

including Primordia

, Cat Lady and Downfall
, creating innovative ways for you to present your story and improve your game design.
Besides AGS I'm also working on several other engines, so if what you want is outside AGS, don't hesitate.

If you want to work on something serious and with prospect, do contact me either via Private Message or via E-mail (ledzepforever@gmail.com

elijahlucian

Hey all!

My name is Elijah Lucian (as I'm sure you deduced from my username) I would just like to offer my voice acting services to the developers of AGS. I am looking to fill out my portfolio with solid releases this year, so serious inquiries only.

My services are free if your game is free. My rate for indie studios is $30/hour for developers that plan on making money off their games (just to get that out of the way) usually my rate is $60 for voiceover stuff, but I am cutting a break on indie game devs. That will get you around 5 minutes of edited audio. so it's perfect for a trailer or something similar.

Anywho. I hope we can all collaborate and make some great stuff!

Oh! here is a link to my portfolio: http://www.elijahlucian.ca/voice.php

2D Animator for hire! (paid)

I have experience with a development team that just shipped a game on Steam called Our Darker Purpose. I'm an artist with some experience in quite a bit of disciplines, and you can see my portfolio here: http://www.aftermathcomics.blogspot.com/

If my skillset meets your needs, email me at aftermathcomics@gmail.com and we'll discuss the details. Prices vary by complexity of the project, and I charge on a per-asset basis.

Janos Biro

Hello,

I'm offering my services as Translator - English to Brazilian Portuguese. I've translated a number of articles, subtitles and games.

I'm also a creative writer and game designer since 1996. My main influences are George Orwell, Aldous Huxley, Ray Bradbury, Kafka, Michael Ende and Paul Auster. I designed some computer games based on my experiences running D&D, Shadowrun and Paranoia RPG sessions. I reviewed several indie games and wrote some articles on game conception and game studies.

As I'm graduated in philosophy, I can handle concepts and topics concerning metaphysical, ethical, epistemical and political problems. I've made some research in the fields of theology and sociology.

Don't hesitate to e-mail me, either if you want to expand the reaching of your game (by making it available to the Brazilian public, which is huge), or if you want to enrich your gameworld (by adding side stories or some narrative, who knows).

My website is now offline, but here's the link: http://www.janosbiro.com.br/
I'm willing to translate from English to Brazilian Portuguese.

Hello,

I would like to offer my services as composer.  I grew up with the classics and my favorites to this day are the Quest For Glory Series, the Monkey Island Series, and all of the others with a strong plot and challenging but not impossible puzzles.  I am absolutely shocked at the high level of games that some of you are making these days though.  I had no idea until recently that the genre was alive and well.  As my wife and I have started to play these new games, I've really developed a desire to get in on the action.

While music is my vocation and how I support my family, composing for games is a new venue for me.  All that to say, I'd love to work for cheap or maybe free, depending on the game.  I would also appreciate any feedback or critique of the reels I'm posting.

Here is a diverse sample of my composing.
https://soundcloud.com/jason-b/sets/commercial-music

This is all stuff I wrote after watching Twin Peaks.  Its all in the previous reel but shows more how I can make material that could all be used in the same game.  If anyone out there is planning on doing a Telltale style continuation of Twin Peaks, I'm definitely your man!
https://soundcloud.com/jason-b/sets/music-inspired-by-music-from

Here is some weird elecro-jazz I make in the off chance your game fits this bizarre niche.
http://metalbaby.bandcamp.com/

Once again, critique is also very welcome.  Thanks for any time you may invest in considering hiring me to make some music for your project!

Hi,

My name is Jan Glembotzki.
For the last 10 years I've been working as a film composer, and I have provided music for documentaries, feature films, musicals and organizations/companies such as Sony, PETA, and The National Geographic.

On www.songsfromthelostland.com I do offer a constantly growing collection of free music meant to be used in your non-commercial projects.

Being a veteran roleplayer, I always wanted to provide music for a computer game, and www.songsfromthelostland.com is meant to give an impression of my skills. In case you like what you hear (and if you want to use my music in a commercial context): Hire me and get some first class music tailored to your needs.

Though the tracks are more on the Fantasy side, I plan to start a new collection soon, focussing on Sci Fi/action.

Feedback is very much appreciated.

Best regards
Jan

We are two musicians from Germany who have been working together on various projects for over 10 years.
What brings us together the rest of the time is our passion for creative and original games as well as a growing interest in game development.

That's why we are now on the look-out for projects and developers ready to collaborate on some cool games and stories. We both grew playing titles like Kyrandia

Hi All!

I'm an amateur background artist. I have once style... and one style only, which is a cartoony DOTT kinda style. After starting my own project and being unable to find an animator, I am looking to join somebody else's project if possible! please see below for examples of my work.

I'm not the best but could fit into a modest project? I also have a wicked sense of humour that may come in handy with dialogue?

I work hard and as long as you like my style..... I can do it.

Let me know if you can give me a home!

CometMorehouse

Hello everyone, I would like to offer my services as a composer.

I recently graduated from music school with an emphasis in composition and songwriting, and I need some work to get my foot in the door. I did music for 2 games (that were never completed) in Game Jams as well as a couple student films. I've loved adventure games since I was a child and my favorites are probably The Secret of Monkey Island and Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers. While I am more than capable of writing ambient music, my strengths lean towards more melodic fare.

Below is my portfolio website with about 6 samples. If you are interested, feel free to send me an email at vpolmsted@gmail.com or directly from the contact section of the website. www.vinnyomusic.com

I look forward to working with this community and hope to hear from you soon.

Hello devs,

My name is Ben, and I'm a game composer on the lookout for new projects and collaborations. I'm just as passionate about games as I am about music, so chances are that if you're passionate about your project, I'm interested in hearing about it. I've included a link to my website below, which has samples of my music.

www.benrobertscomposer.com/music

If you're interested in discussing the possibility of working together, send me an email and I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. Don't be afraid to ask about any range of styles you might be looking for, as I'm happy to branch out, and am confident in my ability to do so.

Even if you're not implementing music into your game yet, feel free to send me info about your project anyway. I'd love to follow it.

LadyCoren

Hello everyone,

I am new to these forums, but was recommended to post my available skills to gain experience in creating games.

My name is Stephanie, I have been a gamer for over 20 years, and I'm an amateur writer.
I specialize in story-telling, descriptive language, and, most importantly, dialogue.
I can do both serious and humor (I am comfortable with more mature humor, but I can do family friendly). Most of my examples are post-apocalyptic or modern, but I am able to try my hand at any time period. I have studied history in both college and graduate school so I have specialized knowledge of specific time periods, (Early Modern Europe, specifically witch hunts, World War II and the Cold War) but an overarching knowledge of others.
My services are for free, (if you're willing to pay I won't balk, but I don't expect it  )
While I have a full time job, it is very low-key so I would have time to dedicate to your project.

If you would like to see what I can offer, please email me at ladycoren87@gmail.com and I will provide you with my current samples, or if you would like me to write something specific to see if I match your needs, please ask and I will have a 2-5 page sample in a few days.

Hey everyone, if you want to expand your audience I can translate your game from English to PT-BR for free (for the time being), only for credits, if the project is being made beta testing and if it's commercial  I'll want a copy . Just PM me.

Thanks for moving it here and sorry for posting in the wrong place.
May I help you?

TheTelephone

Hey all,

I'm super new to this forum, but am eager to meet people serious about collaborating on small-medium-large projects. I'm unfortunately about as technologically savvy as a tree stump, BUT what I lack in techno-wisdom I more than make up for in creativity. I've been screenwriting in my free time for years now, I'm a working professional and am great at working with others and doing my own part for the sake of the team. Really eager to meet people, and really looking forward to tragically failing making my own solo point & click games.

DIALOGUE, COPY, STORY AND CREATIVE WRITING
I'm pretty proficient at genre writing, particularly horror, comedy, mystery and adventure.
My absolute best quality is probably dialogue writing and story arcing.
Really easy to work with, not at all a control freak, just looking to gain experience and have good time/work with great people while doing so.
One thing that I have to say is that I have worked with indie game developers in the past; they were kinda huge jerks, and it did leave a bad taste in my mouth. That being said, I really want to give game writing another shot, and really think that there are a lot of seemingly very nice people on these boards.

GAME TESTING
I'm pretty thorough when it comes to gaming, to the point where people hate watching me play video games. (I like finding Easter Eggs, whatevs)
If there's something glaringly wrong with your game, I could probably find it. If there's something super small, I could probably find that, too.
A Rainman-esque attention to detail.

And yeah, that's really it. My real goal is to work with a team on something from scratch, preferably something horror-themed as that's my bag, but I'm very much adaptable. In the short term, I'd like to try my hand at making my own game before becoming a Creative Director or anything like that, but for the time being I'd love to help out in anyone's game in any way that I can.

Oooooooookay, good talk, see you out there.

TamaraRyan

Hello! I am here to offer my services for:

You can check out my demos and full resume at my website here: http://www.tamararyanvo.com/

I have a home studio so you don't need to worry about getting your own recording equipment. I also offer the ability to be directed live via phone patch or skype, that way you can ensure a perfect delivery the first time round. I have a very quick turnaround, often times within 24 hours of receiving the script and do basic editing on my end. (Taking out breathes, normalizing, etc)

Hi,

I'd be very happy working together. I can do:

Music

I'm actually a traveling gig musician but I spend hours composing/recording when at home. I have a huge palette of self made sounds, sound libraries and well trained (classical or modern) musicians if you are looking for the real vibe.
Some of my recordings are here.
None of them video game related.
I loaded some music for games here.

An animation short film I did the sound and music for.
The password is 'esparcia'

I'm very interested in ambient, experimental music, but am able to produce nice pop, rock, funk, folk futuristic or even classical music.
A solo live ambient album I did.

Voice acting

English-German-Spanish
I speak those three fluidly and have the tools for recording it. I also like acting a lot. Even sing.

Tranlation

English-German-Spanish

I also like to involve myself in the creative process (story, characters, puzzles, dialog) if you're open to it.

Best,
Juan

I am a film-style musician and orchestrator. I have nine years in experience and I have worked on a few RPG and Adventure games before. I tend to lean on the fantasy genre, but let me know exactly what setting your game takes place in and we will have a look.

Some quick examples below:

My Missing Girl (Fantasy)
She is Lovely (Cinematic)
Dreamworld (Cinematic)

I have a wide range of resources available to me, so let me know exactly what you are looking for. Please PM me or send me an email at: music@jonbabb.com if you wish for a quick response.

You don't have to work at a professional level to get my help, so I am open to almost anything. Right now I prefer to work on graphical adventure games.

Martyn

I'm not a great artist or a programmer and I'm very rusty from not doing this stuff but I'll try to help out if and when I can.  :-[ I'm so sorry again to the few people who did ask for my help and I was unable to aid them...I failed them. I warn others here that I might disappoint you , I don't mean to...really , I don't! I greatly appreciate any requests and I'll try not to let you down.... ;)...thanks everyone for letting me be a member here and letting me chime in sometimes with the various conversations here. (laugh)

Admittedly , I only kinda know how to code webpages from doing my own work on my own stuff before and I always need to be looking at other stuff while / when I'm working on sites...I don't have that crap memorized anymore and even back then I would need notes and stuff in front of me in order to help...that's how I've always worked when it comes to webpages / websites. :-[

I don't know if laptops have built in microphones or what. I don't know a whole heck of a lot about laptops even though I've been using some for five or six years now. I am considering getting a new microphone and seeing if I can get it to work with / on my laptop somehow. I will probably be installing paint shop pro soon. That's what I've used before along with Microsoft paint and other things back when I was making stuff for the art side. Just giving you all a heads up , I am rather busy these days but I will try and make time for other people. Maybe after dad gets back from vacation and this stupid skin problem I've got disappears , I can be more proactive on my wannabe game creator and game helper dreams...( Ugh, I wish this horrid stuff would stop soon! I hate having weird rashes and itchy bumps all over my skin! )

Hi Guys,

I've dabbled with AGS for over 10 years, however my coding skills are rudimentary at best. Looking for some relatively quick-release projects that I can contribute to (MAGS etc.).

I can also offer voice acting as well as contributions to game mechanics, story structure & dialogue.

I have attached below some examples of my style.

I have very little experience with animation but I am happy to contribute also.

DosboxLetsPlay

Hey gents and dames,

Seeing all these people here makes me wonder if this post is even necessary (feels like all the positions are already filled up). :D

However, if anyone needs a beta tester, I'd be happy to pitch in. :)
If you are open towards various types of voices, I could try out voice-acting too (talking, singing and sounds). Should you be interested in examples, feel free to contact me.

I'm a software developer looking to get involved in the programming/scripting of an adventure game project on my off-hours.

Hey all,

I'm new to the forums. Very recently decided to finally start an old aspiration in making an adventure game. I'm also a professional music producer, signed to Plasmapool record label, also interested in doing more soundtrack work so all the while I'd like to offer my services sound and music services.

- I can compose all forms of original music and styles I can create, i,e 16-bit, orchestrated, electronic
- I am open to writing any style of music, i.e horror, melodic, intrigue, sci-fi, medieval
- Also I have a recording set up so certain SFX I can produce and voice acting can be done here to a degree.

Of course it goes without saying I will only dedicate my time to a project that will be finished =)

Here is a link to a profile of mine (mostly dance music with one orchestrated soundtrack):

   Thanks, Click =)

Hey all,
Been on the forums a while and decided I would like to participate more in the community.
I have in the past been constructing my own game but would like to focus more on the art side of things so I am offering my services as an artist.
I'm mostly a character artist, my backgrounds are rudimentary at best but I dabble and just generally want to improve overall and maybe make some new friends along the way.

Thanks,
Jay

natecombsmedia

Who am I? Nate Combs!
Where can you find my portfolio? Nate Combs Media Website
How can you contact me? There are forms on my site, or you can email me directly at natecombsmedia@gmail.com

Thanks for taking the time to check out my portfolios on my site or my fan-base on YouTube. There isn't much I love more than scoring a great game and working with an inspired team. I do a wide variety of unique styles, and I'm particularly crazy about RPGs, adventure games, action games, platformers, etc. As a full-time composer with a master's degree in game scoring, you can be sure that I'll give you the highest quality work your game needs, and I have a reputation for quick turnaround times on top of that quality.

Some recent reviews include:

Holy crap man, that was fast! It's perfect, I love it.†‹ This music fits perfectly with the theme I wanted. I'm excited. This music adds a new level of depth to my game. I was amazed how fast the song was made and how professional it sounded. Exactly what I wanted. (Facility)
Of course [fans] love the music...it was like an unstoppable blast of pure mid 90's carnage. (Hoverchase)
-Alan, Game Developer, AlanPlease (FL, United States)

Nate has repeatedly gone above and beyond all of my expectations in both quality and service. Just by giving him a theme or a simple tune, Nate Combs has composed for me five different songs [or scores]. My current projects are nothing without his music, and that's why I plan on hiring him for all of my musical and audio related needs. I highly recommend him to anyone who requires custom audio and music for their projects.  (Floppy Box)
     -Jeremy, Ikinine (OH, United States)

So, shoot me an email. I'd love to find out about your needs and talk about scoring your next game!

Other relevant information:

What are your rates?
Rates are a bit dependent on the project. I typically charge per finished minute [pfm] of music composed. Send me your budget information and stylistic preferences, and I'll help you to come up with a good, fair quote.

Are you a good communicator?
Excellent, thankfully...it's one of the highest non-musical praises I get in my reviews. So, if you have any questions, even if they are regarding other areas of your creative mind, send me an email. I keep it linked to my phone and can respond usually within a few hours.

What services does a composer offer?
Nowadays, pretty much everything. From conception to completion (with the recommendation of outsourcing the final mastering of any audio), we have to be ready to do it all. I am very skilled at writing, arranging, orchestrating, recording, editing, and mixing music. I offer the option to master the works of others, and in some cases, my own work if you are unable to get fresh ears on the job.

Thousands of dollars of high tech gear—like music's version of Maya, Unity, Unreal, Wwise, etc.—help make everything you hear absolutely stunning. I even play several instruments and know tons of professional singers and live instrumentalists, so extra life can be added to your score through the utilization of these talents. If your budget is huge, you could even hire an orchestra to play the full score!

Thanks again for your consideration,

Nate Combs

Queen Kara

I did it again , stayed away from the forums for far too long when I was going to check in at least once every day....fell off the wagon big time. :-[

My deepest and most sincere apologies to anyone who ever considered me for help on their project. I hope this is still the right place to post something like this.

I have decided to stop trying to be a helper when I am obviously incapable of delivering...since there is so much that still needs to be done, I have barely scratched the surface of things I want to accomplish, laptops don't last as long as I'd like them to, ect.

My terrible lack of a respectable skill level disables me from being a good helper - ( when it comes to art and even programming )

I keep having to start over various projects for various reasons and my own work is barely started....

*sigh*

Anyway I still won't ever completely give up on my game creation dreams, but honestly this is all so hard for me and I would keep choosing watching anime or playing games other people have made...every time , over working on my own stuff. Or doing other things instead of working on my projects. It's rare for me to make notes and stuff but I'm going to TRY to start some offline folders and make backups and other stuff I should be doing so that at least if something happens to my new laptop I won't have to get all upset over things lost in a crash because I'll have done the smart thing and have made backups along with "hardcopies" of notes and stuff for each game project I want to finish someday. Right now it's like I'm a beginner all over again at so many things and I have been stuck at a low level in art for years.

Translation English-Greek / Greek-English

I am fluent in both languages but so far I have only engaged in amateur translation as a hobby.
My most recent work is the Greek translation of the first three episodes of The Last Door .

Voice acting

Every time I played a talkie game I thought how cool it would be if I were to lend my voice to a female character!
So I made my first attempt in Beyond Eternity.
I think my accent is pretty good in both languages and I have a good articulation.
I am also good at imitating various accents and changing my voice accordingly.
You can download a sample I made here .

Playtesting

Never done it exclusively but I would like to try it.

Restrictions

Adventure games are my passion so I would be willing to provide my services for this genre only.

My free time is not plenty but it will be enough if there is a reasonable deadline.

Interested?

If you are in the process of making an adventure game (commercial or not) and are interested in recruiting me feel free to PM me.

JackOdell

Hi my name is Jack Odell, I compose and produce music for video games. My style leans quite heavily on electronic, I love synthesisers and try to make most of my sounds from scratch with them. In addition to electronic music, I'm a retro RPG guy at heart and Nobuo Uematsu and Yasunori Mitsuda have been huge influences on my work and I enjoy making all kinds of genre of music.

I had to double check whether or not I had already made a post here, I guess if I did it was erased circa 2012 along with the others.

Playtesting
I'll take out a pen and paper and play through your game, taking note of any bugs, error messages that pop up or any CtD issues. I'm pretty basic that way.

Speech/Talkie Recording

I have been doing amatuer voice acting since around 2005, from Machinima, indie games to audio plays.

For the AGS community, I was the voice of the Revolution Leader and Dave Dell in Lone case 3 and so far (at the time this post was typed) all of the characters in my own games.

I own a Takstar GL 100 USB condenser microphone and use audacity to clean up/edit my audio clips.

Here is my current Demo Reel:

For a few years, I have been doing alot of taking walk cycle frames and adding hats, simple clothes etc.
I also have been practicing bump filtering of images. Not 3D.
You provide the walkcycle and images and I can change them how you want them.
I am not an artist so you provide the frames and objects to be added to the frame.
Or, I can find an object on line and with your approval add it to the walkcycle frames.
dbuske13@gmail.com
I suppose this would work also with adding objects to backgounds and bumpmapping backgrounds.
I am sure most of you know this, but to get better bumpmapping a photo needs textures with ridges and high and low areas.
Smooth textures and images will not bumpmap well.
What if your blessings come through raindrops
What if your healing comes through tears...

MUSIC

My name is Vincent Olmsted. I am a composer with a Bachelor's Degree in Music with emphasis in Composition and Songwriting. I've worked on 3 games (including Crystal Shard's Quasar Deluxe Edition) and some student films, and I am itching to do some more soundtrack work.

I don't have a standard rate, as every project is different, but I will work with you for a price that works for both of us. At this point I am more interested in building my portfolio and gaining experience than I am in financial gain.

Below is my bandcamp page. There are samples from some projects I've worked on as well as some miscellaneous pieces floating around on my hard drive. I feel like this is a good sample of the variety of styles I write in, but I am also very interested in broadening my musical horizons.

CatPunter

Hello there!

I'm CatPunter! I'm a late 20's artist who has a background in illustration, animation and games. I've also done some conceptart but that stuff doesn't really tickle my fancy lately. For the last while I have been doing sprite and background work so I'm getting pretty comfortable with that. Gurok and I just finished the Jimi Hendrix game jam for July 2015 and we have his point and click adventure game that should be coming out late next year!

Most of my work is for pay only though, so if you want some quite a bit done you're probably going to have to have a hefty budget. I do have flexible pricing options to fit in your budget, but it will also be budget art. I rarely do free stuff and you'd have to get into some heavy financial talks with me if you want to do a "work now, pay you after the kickstarter" type of situation.

You can see my temporary online portfolio at Kwilliamsart
And you can contact me almost any hour of the day on skype (the joys of being a work from home creative ;A;) - kwilliamsart
I don't check the boards here often but you can private message me on here as well.

I also offer a bit of art tutoring!

I'm not really comfortable calling it tutoring, but if you need a fresh set of eyes to look at your work I'd love to help you out. Obviously I'm not a super pro Craig Mullins type of artist and my style is a bit strong, but I'm always free.

Thanks everyone!

Greetings!

My name is David Vitas, and I'm a professional composer from Ontario Canada. I grew up on old Nintendo, Sega, and Sony hardware; therefore my inspiration stems from Japanese artists and nostalgic videogames. I also enjoy artists like BT, Hans Zimmer, Stevie Wonder, and Muse. My music palette is very broad.

I'm very proficient at making music that compliments any project or aesthetic style. As a sound designer, I enjoy making new sounds from scratch.

Music Samples

  • Demo Reel - Take a listen, and let me know what you think! Feedback appreciated
  • Portfolio - Visit my Portfolio for more music
  • YouTube Channel - Most full tracks are hosted on my YouTube Channel

Education

  • Pianist (classically trained)
  • Graduated from OIART with honours
  • 18 years playing piano
  • 7 years composing experience

Hardware and Software
I have my own home studio, and have experience with the following software:

  • Pro Tools
  • Ableton Live
  • Kontakt 5 with several third party libraries (Spitfire, Heavyocity, Soundiron)
  • Omnisphere
  • Brainworx mixing plugins
I own a royalty free sound effects hybrid library that has close to 50 thousand sound effects. I use this library plus my own ingenuity to design custom sound effects for any kind of project.

Compensation
I prefer to assess each project on a case by case basis after we talk about the scope of the project and the music budget.

  • Full-time: Negotiable
  • Contract work: Negotiable
What sets me apart from other composers and audio designers?

  • Piano - Since I compose on the piano, I always write all my tunes there first. This means that I can send you the actual composition so you can okay it before I make the full instrumental. It's like I'm sending you the sketch before the full painting.
  • Time - My turn around time is very reasonable. I work good under pressure and can meet any deadline.
  • Professional - My work ethic is professional, but I'm also a very friendly and approachable guy. Shoot me a message!
