"Incident" between Ron Gilbert and Fans?

This is a log of a chat in #monkeyisland. We can read a confrontation between some guy valleg RogG (supposed to be Ron Gilbert) and some fans... what do you think? Is he really Ron? There are two versions, one says the incident was real, some others think thay´s just a joke.

I thought it might have been Lucastones.  He hardly says anything, and is even complemented by RonG, and then right after everyone starts insulting Ron, Lucastones mysteriously says: "I didn't come in here to be insulted", even though nobody has insulted him.

BTW, if all is a joke, serious things have been told to Ron, and they can reach him. It is not very polite to say, "You suck, you haven´t made nothing in years..."

But we could start a debate: Do you agree (even in a little way) with that sentence? Ron is some kind of our "Gurú", but there is a debate in which is told that most of the jokes and the dialogs were done by Schaffer and Grossman. Do you think Ron needs to do something else but Monkey island 1 and 2?

I would like to see a graphic adventure of Ron, not just games for kids...

But I don´t think that he sucks...

Well the second part of the discussion (posted by Jayel), if you read it, shows the whole thing being exposed as a joke, with someone else playing Ron; however, apparently Ron was there, under the name 'LucasTones' - so was he?  WAS HE!?  I'm guessing not, but still, I ares curious.
