Title: 2 player?
Post by: Dan2552 on Sat 13/12/2003 18:28:26
I was thinking maybe if it was possible to make it 2 player, one ego controlled by the mouse, the other with the keys?

maybe even player 2 just walking around, while player 1 does all the actual stuff? just for a bit of fun?

plz reply if it would/wouldn't work

It could work, yes.. but it would probably take a lot of scripting, you should also be able to do a 2 player online AGS game with the tcp/ip plugin but that would be even harder..

Making a two player game is possible as long as both of players are always in the same room (meaning you want a continuous control on both). :P

Quoteis there an ipx?
nope, just a tcp/ip one.

TCP/IP is the internet protocol.

See the other thread for the plugin features:

The download site for the plugin is currently down.

do you mean the other player follows you about and then you can use it for puzzles like in broken sword 3. Like george asked his friend Nico for a hand pushing a pole.

For this you could maybe use the follow charactor option with maybe speech options in different rooms to perform certain tasks.

was that it?

He means two human players controlling two different characters. :P

hehe, interesting idea. I had fiddled with the tcp/ip plugin before, shouldn't be that difficult. On the other hand people used to carry out the awards  with mIRC. :)
