ok here my perdicament i'm making my game survival and after completion i want to simply insert a multiplayer component allowing you to play 2 player between two specified ip addresses ,
all is for the coordinates of the two players to be transmitted so that you can see the other person moving around nothing more besides seeing each other they (at least for the moment) wont do much else with each other.
Hopefull the more talented of you e.g ssh ,akumayo etc might be able to do this.
Thanks in advance TIMLUMP.
Don't worry if it's frankly impossible I understand.
Note: using the icp/ip plugin of course

Well, I don't know much about multiplayer support to help you, but I can tell you one thing, the TCP/IP plug-in isn't very reliable. Search around for topics related to it and you'll see that it has worked one or twice, but not too greatly, and your trying to add multiplayer deathmatches? Im not steering you off or anything, I just think maybe you should wait until something else arrives or maybe just add 2 player keyboard support and have 2 people play on the same keyboard.

EDIT: Ok, I screwed up. I just re-read the TCP/IP plugin thread, and I guess it can work, but your going to need some hardcore scripting to get it done.

I've never worked with the TCP/IP plug-in, actually, but thanks for thinking you could rely on me :)

As far as making on online game of any sort, I would recommend BYOND (google it).  It's a decent 2d engine that is just a tad harder to learn than AGS.  I used it for a little while, but online games just aren't my thing.
