2.72 here too. I tried 3.0 on a Vista laptop and it looked ok, but my own laptops both at home and at work are both running XP and I don't want to install .NET.

Something to consider is how easy or difficult it is to convert a game made in version 2.7 into the new version 3.0 format. Users may find it easier to stick with 2.7 rather than try and update their game to the new version.

Is that the problem? Then there's no problem. It's extremely easy.
