Title: All AGS games have a semi-blurred, filterlike effect
Post by: Hobo Joe on Tue 03/06/2008 04:22:36
For a few weeks now, every AGS game I work on or play, winds up looking blurry, like it's got some kind of filter on it. I'm running them full screen in 320x200 mode, which is correct for each one I'm playing, so what's the deal? Help would be lovely. Thanks!

EDIT: It looks fine in windowed mode, which would be great if I were playing it on a DS or something. Help!

Turn on the nearest neighbor 2x filter.

To elaborate, more recent graphics cards don't support 320x200 directly so they're using their own filter to upscale the resolution to 640x400.
(Since everybody else except us old-school lovers thinks that 320x200/full screen is unbearable to look at.)

No, it's everyone who thinks LCD displays are awesome actually finds that 320x200/FS is unbearable to look at. :P
