Title: any chance on the return of Graphic Scripts?
Post by: Matt Brown on Fri 02/01/2004 19:46:17
Ok, I might get flamed for this, but I have a question...

Back in the ol' days, when AGS was a DOS-only program, there was a feature called graphic scripts, which was basically drag and drop srcipting. While it may have slowed the game down sometimes, (or so Im told, I neve noticed anything, and my pc is only about 900mhz), it was a lot easier to script things, and you could still get fancy with it.

Is there any chance a new release or something could implement these again? I still think it was a great way to get the feet wet into text scripting, and rewriting all of my old graphic scripts into normal scripts is a serous pain the arse.

Am I being unresonible? any chance for a one-shot deal, with a windows version of AGS with graphic script capibilities?

Hmm, I always thought that the Interaction Editor with it's possibility of constructing of nested actions was a suitable replacement for the oldy graphic scripts, what's wrong with the using of it?

Yes, what did graphical scripts do that the interaction editor doesn't?
