I can't play any downloaded games!!

I'm new to this site and I've just downloaded some games, but they don't seem to
work!Ã,  :'( :'( :'(

The error looks as follows:

An exception 0xC0000005 occured in ACWIN.EXE at EIP = Ox004D2B4A ; program pointer is +0,ACI
verision 2.56.623, gtags (0,0)

What is this? How do I fix it? Please help me!
(I would be very happy if someone could answear to my mail)

Try running a game setup and disable digital sounds and music, and see if it helps.

Yeah, that looks like a crash initialising DirectSound. Make sure you have the latest version of DirectX installed and that your drivers are up to date; also you could try changing the sound and music settings in Setup.
