Title: Computer Locking down only when playing any AGS game.

I think this is where I'm supposed to post this, apologize if it needs to be moved. Anyway, I've downloaded and played other AGS games to see if it was just one game, but it is with all, and all of them are run with windows xp. Anyway, everytime I play an AGS game, after about 20 minutes or less, the screen will blur and my computer will lock up, making the only way to continue is to restart my computer. I didn't think much of this until it had happened with both Gae Fallen (is that the spelling?) and 5 days a stranger. Well, I downloaded several other AGS games (I will say the names if needed) and played them for awhile seeing the same results. Well, before posting here, I used my computer for other uses for a couple hours and saw it only happens when I play AGS games. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem? I am clueless. The only thing I am able to do is save everytime I enter a room when playing the game. Again apologizes if this is not the right board.

Screen blur? Hopefully it's not a virus.
Try updating DirectX and/or your graphic card driver and see if that helps.

Additionally, try running the game in a window instead of full screen to see if it behaves the same way or not.

How much onboard RAM does your CPU and your graphics card have? Yep, as suggested, try updating DirectX and/or your graphic's card drivers too.

ANd it's Good to scan through for virus and/or spyware that may be lurking as well. A good free utility for scanning for and removing most known spyware is Ad-Aware, which you can get a free version download at: www.lavasoft.deÃ, 

Also if your system is a bit limited on RAM, it could be possible that after a while the Cache Buffer is not clearing/emptying like it should, causing low memory and/or low system-resources, which may also lead to the type of problems you explained. A good free memory-manager which will try and recover un-used RAM is FreeRam over at: www.yourwaresolutions.comÃ,  Ã, ,I use it on my computer with good success, and you can adjust the settings as you like to recover RAM when it drops to low.
