Yeah, I noticed that too. The current demo version is not compatible with the current AGS version, which renders the demo useless for beginners...

What do you mean by "it's an older version"? There is a newer demo?

It was made with an older version of ags, it should work tho

Yes, the demo game was made over 2 years ago and is rather out of date. A new one is being worked on, but there's no release date at present.

If you'd like to try the new one, the demo is www.demoquest.us/dq3demo.zip

It's not the same as the old DQ2, but it should suffice for some stuff.  There's a thread in the Game In Progress section, if you'd like to report bugs.
