Hmmm Just a wild guess. Would it be possible that you have set a 'mouse over' or 'button pressed' graphics for the 'X' button, but some how it is pointing to a non-existing sprite?

Are you talking about the Windows X that's on every app?

Did this happen when you clicked the X, or just when you moved the mouse near it? Can you upload the crash dump file?
