Title: developing a card game

Has anyone seen or created there own cardgame with AGS i.e. Magic the gathering.

Would it be possible?

AGS is a very powerful engine, and doing something of this magnitude would be possible but it would require a LOT of scripting.  If this is your first game, I'd recommend not trying anything this difficult, although if you think you're up to it, more power to you.

As a side not, for a GREAT example of an "alternative" game made with AGS, check out Captain Mostly's Vegetable Patch Extreem Turbo 1 and 2.  They're both fantastic games and should give you an idea of the great things possible with this engine.

I don't plan to make one.

I wasn't sure if anyone had thought of doing it. i just thought that it would be a good topic to talk about.

I did a BlackJack game once. One problem with making a card game like MTG would be that there would be a lot of cards in play all the time. You could, however, always make something like the card game in FinalFantasyVIII.
