Title: DivX Issues
Post by: xenogia on Sat 05/07/2003 02:26:53
I am importing DivX files into AGS for FMV sequences, but the trouble is that AGS only supports up to 16-bit colour.  But DiVx only supports 32-bit colour.  So when the DivX is played it dithers it badly, and I lose quality.  Is there a way round converting 32bit to 16bit.   But still making it look nice.

It encodes at 24bit color actually. Currently you can do one of two things, wait for CJ to add 24/32bit color or use a different codec. I use VP3.2 currently, and it works great.

You can get the codec from here (http://www.vp3.com/vp3/vfw/software/index.shtml)
