How do I completely erase Dr Watson from windows 98

I cannot download AGS or any games from this site as 'Dr Watson' is stopping me. Is there any way I can get round this? I have windows 98.

Look for an option form Dr Watson's program to disable it from running when your computer starts up.

If it doesn't have that option or you can't find it, you could manually disable it form running when your window's start up by running the "msconfig" from the "run" menu (usually found form the "Start" button area). Then from Selective startup, look for Dr' Watson's and un-check it so it won't startup anymore (you'll need to do a reboot for the new settings to change).

Or, if that seems a little confusing for you, you can use one of many free start-up manager utilities that gives you control of what programs/applications runs when Windows starts up.
One that is good for this is Mike Lin's Startup Control Panel, you can get a free d-load over at:

PS: To remove a program from your computer, look to see if there's an "Un-Install" option in that program's directory. You can usually check by clicking "Start" then "All Programs" then highlight the directory you want to check, example, "Dr Watson's", and see if there's an "Un-Install" option. If not, you can also use the add/remove feature of Windows.

"Start" then select your "Control Panel":

In Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
On the Install/Uninstall tab, click the program you want to remove, and then click Add/Remove.

Click Start->Run and enter "drwtsn32.exe"
- There'll be a lot of things to check/uncheck in there to stop it from asking you all those annoying questions

In the Registry to completely remove Dr. Watson:
KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AeDebug

The just delete the 'debugger' key.

To restore Dr. Watson click Start->Run and enter "drwtsn32.exe -i"

I can't see why Dr Watson would be causing this, unless it is a virus/trojan that just looks like Dr Watson, right?  Why would a debugger be stopping a download?  Sounds more like a denial-of-service baddie to me.

Yeah, Dr Watson pops up if a program crashes -- looks like some sort of problem with your web browser.
