I started the game 7 days a Skeptic and got the message
" An exception 0xC0000005 occured in ACWIN.EXE at EIP = 0xBFF8C15B [strcpy/strcat]; program pointer is +0, ACI version 2.61.747, gtags (0,0)"

It says to notify CJ on the Tech Forum.

Can you try running Setup and changing the game resolution and the sound card settings, and see if it helps?
