When I was playing Prodigal, the program shut down and I recieved this error....Please help!

As this version of AGS was quite old it's not supported now. I wonder whether it's easy to track down where the problem is.
For problems arising from playing a particular game your best bet is to ask the game author. (I just checked, that Trisk (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile;u=3838) hadn't been active in the forums for more than a year now, so I think he might not read his PM soon, so you better send him an e-mail instead.)
You may also try to run this game with the V2.72 engine (get from here (http://www.americangirlscouts.org/agswiki/AGS_Version_history)) in case it's fixed in a later version of the engine.
Also, what were you doing in the game before the crash? Sometimes you may save yourself from crashes by not doing some unnecessary actions in a game.

Well, I had my web browser open and my yahoo messenger open...but I was mainly looking at some walkthroughs on a webpage for the game...When I reopened the game and loaded my saved game I began playing and about 10 seconds into the game that message popped up.
I seem to remember there was a problem with a couple of the MP3 files in Prodigal where they were corrupt and AGS would crash when it tried to play them.
Try disabling the sound & music in the Setup program and see if the crash goes away. If that works, play on for a couple of minutes and save the game again, then hopefully you should be able to switch sound & music back on and get around the crash.
