Title: few unimportant questions
Post by: InCreator on Thu 03/07/2003 18:47:00
1. What's the priorities in advancing AGS? I mean, what comes next? There's many suggestions and you're telling that most things won't be added yet. What are the most important things you want to add right now or are working with, CJ?

2. Is AGS Demo game project now stopped forever,
or is it just waiting for volunteers to make it even better?

3. I imagine that it's very difficult to do, but will AGS ever see *crossfading* room-change style?

Okay, I think these questions ain't worth their place in this forum. But still, crossfading sounds good to me.

1. Well there's the future plans text file with ags, the once that get completed first are the ones that lots of epople ask for or are easy ;)  and the tracker has some of the bigger ones on it. http://www.agsforums.com/tracker.php, but really not even CJ knows exactly I would imagine.

2. Demo Quest is getting remade/extended by RickJ and others, including me.  He's just been busy with real life stuff lately.

3. It doesn't sound that difficult, very slow though..

Yeah, I have been working on Demo Quest as well. But I had computer problems and couldn't connect or contact Rick for a while.

My God. I cannot even imagine what you and RickJ will do to/with Demo Quest. :o

Well, not too much, we just want to show how to do certain things that others may not know how to do, eg: Animated buttons and inventory items.

Ooh, neat. And a custom inventory, as well? People would really benefit from that. I know that it's not that hard, as I've made one for my game already.

Actually, I think now if you start a new game a simple invenory GUI is created along with it, with all the basics (scroll buttons, etc) already done.
