A few months ago I made a bare bones Gabriel Knight Template. It doesn't have any pictures, and the characters are just Roger and Roger's evil twin named NPC, but the scripting part seems to work well.
This includes the Gabriel Knight dialog script (created by Dorcan), a Gabriel Knight style GUI with six options, a custom control panel, and custom inventory screen.
This is missing some things from the original interface, like the tape recorder and voice-pack options. But most stuff is in there.

Awesome - maybe this will save me from the problems I had with my own version of the GK interface. Did you manage to display the text in a box at the bottom of the screen as default? Ah, never mind, I'll just try it out :)
