Title: half Y-walkspeed of X-walkspeed
Post by: on Wed 08/10/2003 16:42:11
Well, i have AGS2.56... here is my Question:

Let us supposes that i have a guy in a room, when i do him walk with my mouse-click, the guy walks in the same X-axis speed than the Y-axis. I want that guy walks Y-axis with the half speed he walks the X-axis.
:-\
I have tryed the "adjust speed with scale" option in the character editor but it is not what i'm looking for, i just need the way to slow down the Y-walkspeed permanently.

As far is I know, there's only one way to do this at the moment - in  the view editor, make the up/down walking animations slower by setting the speed to 1 or higher.
This isn't a perfect solution for your problem, but it sort of works.

EDIT - And it works with anti glide mode on only.

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to do in script, I've tried a few different ways.  Can't change the character's speed while moving is one of the problems.
You'll just have to wait, and try not to have deep rooms for now.  Number one thing AGS needs imo.
