This has probably been answered twelve-million times, but...  I got me one'a these while playing King's Quest I VGA:

I read here and there that it's a MIDI-related issue.  Now, I just wanted to verify if this error code is indeed MIDI-related.  Like I said, this was for King's Quest I VGA v3.0 by Tierra Entertainment/AGD Interactive.  I run Windows XP with Service Pack 2.  Any other information can and will be provided on request.  Oh, and I got this error totally at random, by the way.
If you're reading this, you should be playing a game instead.  Like King's Quest II+.  Or Night of the Hermit.

So did this error just suddenly happen while you were playing, or does it happen sometimes when you start the game?

If you disable sound and music, does that help?
