Hello,

I want to create a (german) sci-font. I've read the manual, that sci-fonts are faster than normal fonts in ags, so i want to use sci-fonts. The proplem is, that the sci-studio is very instabile (on winme and winxp) and it does many error messages if i press a important key (p.ex. ä, ö, ü, àŸ).
There is an another sci-editor which is easy and stabile? If not, which normal font-editor you can me prefer? I need no special features, only to draw the letters and save as sci-fonts.

thanks

Use Radiant's fontedit (and search other topics before repeating more questions).

Radiant:
Do you have any plan to use fontedit to open&convert the SCI vga fonts? I think the format is a little different, but some of those fonts already have accents.

Yes I had search for SCI but nothing found, not search enough  :-X

I want to create only own fonts, not converts.

Thank you very much, I try this out

Mist! If I use the german spezific charakters, there is a programm exit again! I will try to contact another germans ags-createurs, but solutions suggestion would be nice

(Btw, Mist)

If you make your own SCI font, and if you replace a special character like # with the Ã,, for example, you have to use # in the message text instead:

DisplaySpeech(MAN, "#tzend!");

It might be easier to use a TrueType font. I think the Maniac Mansion Mania Starterpack has a good looking one.

Oh, a great Tip!!  :D Yes, I watch the starter pack. You've right, that is easier, but I an tryin' to be good  ;D Have a nice day!
