Illegal Exception on BOS4

I downloaded Book of Spells IV, ran through the set-up. And every time I've tried to start the game, it's given an error message of : Illegal Exception: 0xC0000005 occured at Acwin.exe at EIP = 0x00427852; program pointer is + 1005, ACI version 2.50.388 gtags, (272,11)
AGS cannot continue, this exception was fatal.

That's strange - try running it with the latest version of AGS. Here's how:

1. Download  http://www.agsforums.com/acwin.zip
2. Unzip that into the BOS4 folder.
3. Rename the "BOS4.EXE" file to "AC2GAME.DAT"
4. Double-click the ACWIN.EXE file.

See if that helps at all.

If you get a "cannot find ac2game.dat" error message, make sure you have "Hide file extensions" turned off in your Windows Explorer options.
