Try a game made with a more recent version of AGS, e.g. Cure for the Common Cold...

Can you tell us some of the games which won't work?
Since 64MB is like a bare minimum for "modern" crap demanding OSes like ME, it's no surprise for games not working.

I just don't get your "not a reply" point, what's the problem with "replies"? Also, whenever you add a new post here it IS a reply. :P

Additionally...

Try fiddling with various settings in the game setup: "Run in a window..." or "Sound options". There is also an "Advanced >>>" button to unhide some extra options; try lowering the sprite memory down to 10Mb and see if it helps.

On the other hand, what if you move the game files to another folder with a simple name, such as C:\TestGame, and try running the game from there?

And what about running it from a different short-named C:GAME folder I've mentioned?

It may seem rather strange but it did happen to solve a similar problem for some people:

Glad you got it working, but still this thing with games not working in some folders on Win98/Me is rather odd.

I took a quick look at two games KABIR listed, 6 Days A Sacrifice (does not work) and 5 Days A Stranger (works), and noticed that the one that does not work has acsetup.cfg in its folder; the other one doesn't. Could it be a problem somehow related to accessing the config file on Win98 under certain conditions, such as a long path or possibly specific characters in path's name? :

Hmm, strange. Has anyone had this issue with games made with AGS 2.7x?
