Title: Import sprites in 32bit
Post by: Rocco on Thu 04/03/2004 10:53:37
hi all,

only 1 case works for me:
png with alpha channel (tga in 16bit also works, but dont looks good)

if i try to import a bmp, no difference in which color depth, i have a lot of scrap in the pic - it seems that the transparent pixel setting wont work.
thx for hints.

greets
rocco

I'm not entirely sure what you mean without seeing an example, but the most likely cause is that the image is antialiased, which has added random pixels dotted around the edge of your graphic. Don't use antialiasing when making sprite graphics.

if i import an 32bit or 16bit bmp i see nothing - a blank sprite.
with 24bit i got:

i have this with ags2.6sp1 and ags2.61beta
my desktopdepth is also 32bit

Hmm ... could you upload one of the source bmp files you're importing, then maybe we can determine why it doesn't work.

i guess the reason for this is, that poser  :( dont make an even background-color.
the blackvalue differs slightly.
thx, for your support and ags  8)

You can probably set an option such as "Disable antialiasing" to get it to output a solid background colour. Other people here have managed it, perhaps somebody could tell us how.
