I was wondering how you guys imported your 3d grapics into your AGS games. I have made characters in Poser 5 and exported them as bmp files, but i cannot get an overall white background. When i import my image into AGS lots of impossibly small colours appear in the areas I thought were transparent. There is often a white outline around the character, and its too fiddly to paint all around the character.
Any advice or suggestions?
Although I have never worked with Poser I think you have to turn the background-option off when rendering your character so he doesn't stand in a "white room" but in front of a black wall.
Might be wrong though ...
uncheck the anti-alias option before you render it!! :)
EDIT:I'm not sure,...is there any anti-alias option in Poser?
I used the Poser 4 Render Mode and got NO Artifacts with my characters, they may look Cruddy, but no artifacts (Crap Around the edges of the Figure)
Yes, I turn off anti-alias before rendering my figures. Using anti-alias only within AGS will slightly improve the looks.
Danny, if you don't use poser, which programme do you use? Your graphics are REALLY good - have you considered doing some tutorials? The 3d rendered side of adventure games can be difficult to access for the average AGSer
i use 3d max and Lightwave.
thanks about your compliment :).As i said in my thread "the cloak",there are so many all over internet,..what's the point of making one more!!!
But even if i wanted to make one,i wouldn't know wich part of 3d to write a tute about!! :-\
