CJ Illegal exception

I just got this message. I had just set a script whereby if the played walked off the top screen he would have to go to a different one using the NewRoomEx function.

AGS cannot continue, this exception was fatal. Please note down the numbers above, remember what you were doing at the time and notify CJ on the Tech forum.

In fact, at the moment I can't run ANY games from AGS, not even the demo. I always get that message.

Try rebooting your computer first.

Sometimes something in AGS gots corrupted.

There was bug in 2.54 when character walks off the top edge of the screen it crashes. Maybe it's a porblem.

AGS2.55 changelog:
Quote* Fixed crash when characters went off the top of the screen.

That's a crash in the DirectSound driver, looks like something must have messed up DirectX on your system, but rebooting fixed it.
