I've been working on a game for the last nine months using AGS and I'm at the final stages of production.
However I've come across some issues with my music playing.
I've tried all the different methods to add music to the game but I'm still not getting any.
And before you state the obvious, yes it's been saved in the music folder and as MUSICx.
The file type is .wav, and my piece of music is 0:44s.
Sorry to sound demanding but I need this problem sorted out quickly because my game needs to be completed within the next two weeks.
First of all, you really want to convert your music into a different file format. The wave file format is meant for short sound effects, look up ways to get them into .ogg files and they'll be A LOT smaller and have the same quality to them. Also that might already fix your problem as AGS is best compatible with .ogg music.
Also access your Windows Sound Mixer (how you do that depends on your OS) and go through the output sliders and check none are muted or turned down all the way.

Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) is one program that will enable you to export sound files in ogg format. It's also a pretty cool sound-editing program.
Which version of AGS are you using? The MUSICx.WAV approach doesn't work in 3.2.x
