Novo Mestro: Virtual Screen Size too large

I downloaded this game from this website called Novo Mestro and when I tried to run the message Problem: Virtual Screen Size too large showed up. I tried to change the background screen in Windows but that didn't and I tried it from MS-DOS Prompt and that didn't. Should I download an older version of AGS that works with it or is there another way? I am confused.

As I recall, Novo Mestro was made with an old DOS version of AGS, so it may well be difficult to get it to run properly on Windows I'm afraid.

Have you tried to use an emulator, like DOSBox? Not sure if it will work, but it might be your best bet.
