Task bar issue

How do you get the taskbar item to say "your game title" other Adventure Game Studio.  I tried using a Resource Hacker, but AGS just crashed on me if I did change it from within it.  I remember seeing it done with Kings Quest 2+.  Does anybody know how to do this?

Its the very first thing visible when you load AGS: General Settings, top-left field "Game name"

Well, it works for me (although it is still AGS very briefly at start-up). I'm using v2.56.

Some checks:
Did you save the game?
Do you have a custom icon: I do, I suppose you might need one to get it to update the title, too...

Indeed, you are correct, it just shows AGS really briefly

xenogia: if your resource hacker can make me put an own icon into my game exe file, I would like to know where i can get it!

you can already put your own icon into AGS. the only reason to use resource hacker is if you for some reason need an extreme highdefinition +bajesus resolution icon.

that was the main reason why i did, it for a true colour icon.  but it crashed the program when i imported it anyways

True colour? I think 256 coloured icons is enough in most cases already. Anyway, any icons will show up as 16 colours in my computer, as I'm using WIN95 anyway.

Aye, AGS be showin' "Adventure Game Studio" in the taskbar while it loads the game files to discover the true name.
