Title: Odd colour glitch
Post by: on Sun 12/02/2006 16:23:46
Morning all... I've been working on a 256-colour game as part of a larger project and after not doing much with it for a few days, came back to it today to find an odd glitch.
The game loaded up fine when I went to test it, but less than a second in all the colours polarised.  My cyan turned magenta, light greys went dark and darks light...
What I *know* I've done between the two tests is to add roughly 70 inventory items... Some have the same name but none have the same script ID.
The game seems otherwise to run fine.  Can someone please direct me to the "polarise colours one second into the game" clickbox so I can deselect it (read: any thoughts?)

Out of curiosity, if you alt-tab out and back into the game, are the colours still messed up?

Err... couldn't tell you, because I can't duplicate the problem.
I swear, I did this five times in a row and the colours went bonkers.  I closed out of AGS and opened back up, didn't help.  And now, having not changed anything (as far as I know) it appears to work perfectly again.

Happens to me sometimes, too. I don't think it's worrying.

I've heard this reported before, too. I'm inclined to blame it on some sort of DirectX quirk, there's certainly nothing in AGS that should cause this sort of thing to happen.
