playing games

whenever i go to play a game i download or anything it tells me i can't. it says my mouse wont work with directinput and i was wondering if anyone can help me fix that

Try installing the latest version of DirectX? Do non-AGS games work properly with the mouse?

not all the time most ags games work but when i try one using windows instead of dos it says that. even when i make a little crap game and play it i cant open it in windows. do you know where to get directx?

i got win 95 unfortunately so i need 8.0 but it wont werk(the download)

i have a laptop on 95 and you just got to keep trying to download the updates... it never liked running AGS in dos , it might be worth upgrading to win98, the laptop always stalled and froze with 95, i upgraded to XP in theory it should of slowed it down, but its 100% better
