- I've made a game a few time ago but I've just seen a new version has been released and the old graphic system has changed ...
I would like to continue my game on the new version, how can I convert my rooms ?
- Is it possible to run other applications with Ags (another games for instance)? If it is possible, what's the script command to do that please ? ???

Excuse me for my awful english ....  :-\

Make a copy of your old game. and save it somewhere else and safe.  Then download the new version of ags into its own new directory, and then load up agsedit.exe.   then load in one version that you want to change of your game into the editor and it will upgrade automatically.
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

No.... He first need AGS 2.20 or something... Then save, THEN do what Scumm told you. I don't remember the version thingy though. You'll find it in the changes.txt
Veteran, writer... with loads of unreleased games. Work in progress.

I've already done this, but the problem is my game was made with an older version than the ags 2.2 (I can't remember wich version exactly) and that's why the rooms can not be converted.

changes.txt
QuoteVERSION 2.4, July 2002
NOTE: Graphical scripts have been removed from this version. You will
need to re-do them as text scripts. Sorry. Rooms with graphical scripts
will continue to work until you modify the room in the Windows editor at
which point the graphical scripts will be removed.

QuoteVERSION 2.5, September 2002
NOTE: Graphical scripts and Animations have been removed completely from
this version - the engine can no longer run old rooms that used them.
The old graphical scripts system has been removed ... I guess I'll have to re-do my rooms wich use those scripts ... glups   :'(

i had to do that once, dont worry, it isnt so hard, the scripting you use to replace graphics scripts is really easy to learn

You can upgrade to v2.31 if you like - it's the final DOS-based editor, and still fully supports graphical scripts. Of course, it doesn't have some of the neater newer features, but it's pretty stable.
