Illegal exception error on save file for "Garfield, Mutant Lasagna"

When I tried to open s specific game file it says. "An exception 0xC0000005 occoured in ACWIN.EXE at EIP=0x004117AD ; program pointer is +379, ACI version 2.60.693, gtags (2.6) AGS cannot continue, this exception was fatal. Please note the numbers above, remember what you were doing at the time and notify CJ on the Tech Fourm.  (I was opening a save file agssave.001, and when the game crashed a new file is added to the garfield folder called  agssave.999


So, can someone help. (Perhaps this "CJ"?)

Did you by any chance save the game with a different version of Garfield from the one where you tried to load it? If you upgraded from one version of the game to another, save games won't work.
