Hello,there!
Being a fan of older, esp adventure games I stumbled upon AGS.
My problem: Several games I wanted to play lockup after some time and there's no reaction of XP itself after that (Have to reboot). For example Night of the Hermit and Aarons Epic Journey.
It seems there's noone who had this problem, so I'm not sure anyone can helpÃ,  :'(

Some additions:I'm using Asus a7v8x board with Athlon 2100xp,Geforce 3 Ti 200, XP with SP2. "5 days a stranger" and "7 days a sceptic" work fine.

Sounds like classic DOS incompatibility errors under XP to me.
You see XP doesn't like DOS, and it won't let DOS games run.

Normal DOS games can be run with an emulator like DOSBox, but I don't know how to get DOS AGS games working.
Ah! There is no emoticon for what I'm feeling!

Also, give WinXP's compatibility mode a shot. Win95 comp. mode usually helps a lot.

Already tried compatibility mode ,but it does't help.Further on in this mode there is the "300x200" solution problem, and the game slows down very much.
I think I'll try some more things 'cause I really want to get it to work. ;D

At least I found a way without XP locking up. I set the resolution to 900x600 and it works (strange but that's Windows). Now I'll play some games and have a look at the AGS-Game-Editor and check how it works!
See ya!

Yeah, these are the older games which were compiled for DOS. If you play more recent AGS games (generally speaking, games made in 2003 and later) they are compiled for Windows and shouldn't cause these problems.
