Title: Room colours...
Post by: on Tue 27/01/2004 00:05:31
When testing my game I find that the game goes all dark when I walk to certain areas of the room, so I can't clearly see all the darker colours my room has. It goes to the normal brightness when I walk to other parts of my room so I can see things normally at times.

How do I fix this so it is always normal?

hmm...sounds strange ???
try converting it to 16-bit if it is in 256-colors

Anyone else have any ideas? I thought it was to do with colour modes but wasn't exactly sure.

This is very weird. Maybe there is something wrong with your character sprites?

Have you added any script to change the brightness? I can't see why the game would suddenly go dark when you moved to different areas of the screen - Barcik's suggestion is worth investigating though; does your sprite have a huge black area on it or anything like that? :)

Do all the GUIs turn black too, and do you see the mouse cursor? Are you running it in a windowed or fullscreen mode?
