screen moved to the left [SOLVED for me]

While I'm making my game or playing other AGS games in 320x200 resolution, the screen is moved about 12 pixels to the left (I cannot see that part of the screen/room). Games in 640x480 run OK.

I'm sorry if this is a dumb problem, or it was discussed before (I couldn't find it), but I don't know what to do.

Ok, I may be wrong about this:

I have the same probelm, but I thought it had to do with my monitor... So I used the OSD settings and decreased the screen width value... But it became worse and worse and I had to increase and increase it almost every time I started an AGS game in 320x200... Right now, I can't decrease the screen width value anymore and I still can't see the whole 320 pixels at the same time...
It actually got so worse, that I can't see the whole screen width in all resolutions ( 1024x768, 800x600 or 1600x1200 ) in Windows! Only 1280x1024 works fine... I think it stopped - so it is not getting any worse, but still it cuts off space on both sides ( left and right ) in any solution ( except 1280x1024 )!

Could be a XP problem? On the other hand, my monitor makes really strange sounds since this started... so could be a monitor problem as well...

Don't monitors usually save the screen size and position for each resolution/refresh rate combination seperately?
To me it happens when I start a game for the first time that uses a combination that I haven't yet adjusted the screen for. So I adjust my monitor and then all games that use that resolution/refresh combo look fine.
My monitor automatically saves the settings, maybe you have to save it yourself on yours?

It is a monitor issue. Not all monitors are fully capable of properly showing the 320x200 resolution with the same settings as other resolutions. I have the same problem, on mine: usually I use it in 1280x1024, in which it's fine, but when I run a full-screen game, the screen is distorted. You can correct it with using your monitor controls, but chances are that when you leave the game, your previous resolution will look bad. I usually don't mess with it, so that I don't have to restore it after playing.

Check your monitor manual. Several monitors allow you to make the settings different for each resolution (so that transposing your 320x200 mode won't do anything to your 1024x768 desktop)

Not mine :( I have to manually reset settings. When I bought it, monitors that could save settings were twice as much so I decided it's not that bad...  ;) Usually I try to set games to use 320x240 or 640x480, that's better and it happens to work with the same settings. I only have problems with games that don't have this option in the setup, but I can live with that. In the worst case I just switch to window mode.

To run an AGS game in 640x480, just run its Setup program and check the "Letterbox mode" checkbox. This should sort out any monitor resolution issues.

Just to let you know I solved my problem. There's a button on the side of my monitor that brings up a menu in which you can set up different things, including moving the screen in all directions. So I (actually a friend of mine) just moved it a bit to the right and that was it. How dumb did I feel! And that couple of pixels don't make any difference when I go back to higher resolutions.

Maybe this doesn't solve the problem for everybody, but at least it does for me  ;D
