Hotspot baseline?

Is there a hotspot baseline? If so, how is it possible to change its position? If not, how would I manage to put a hotspot in front of an object? The object seems to replace the hotspot no matter what I try. Any ideas?

No, there is no hotspot baseline, since hotspots are supposed to be things, that are always behind the player ( like doors, cupboards etc... )

Use objects instead of hotspots for a cupboard, that is in front of the player for example... Should make no difference!

Not sure what you mean by that!

Ashen

I take it to mean that the object is always 'on top of' the hotspot - it's interactions run instead of the hotspot.  If I'm right, then - as [...] said - that's how it's meant to be, hotspots behind characters/objects. If you want to click though the object, you'll have to either i) Script it somehow, ii) Put the hotspot interactions into the Object's script or iii) (similar to ii) Set the object to RunHotspotInteraction(hotspot, mode).

Maybe if you gave a specific exampkle of what you mean, someone could come up with something better, though.
I know what you're thinking ... Don't think that.

Hotspots are interactable areas of the background image. As Ashen says, if you give an example of what you're trying to do, we can probably show you an easier way of doing it.

I appreciate your help, but I pretty much took care of it by making the hotspot an object temporarily.
