I barely had time to enjoy the game, "The Glorious Realm of Thendor. I played it once, saved it but when I tried to play it again, I kept getting an error message: error: roomstruct: allocal out of memory.  I tried rebooting but nothing works. (I made sure there was no other program open too thinking this could be the problem. Does anyone have any ideas what to do because I was enjoying the game and now I'm just bummed :P

This is the whole mssage I get: "An Internal error has occured. Please note down the following info. If the problem persists contact chris jones. (ACI version 2.30.221) error: roomstruct allocall out of memory"

Well, since CJ's realm is more in the Technical Forum, I shall move this there. :)

Did you happen to click the "Advanced>>" button in the setup file and set an amount of file space this file will occupy?
Moving at superhigh speed getting to the planet called Earth. But it is boxed in white......thing.....

Unfortunately this was a bug in older versions of AGS, which Thendor was compiled with. You could try to run it with a newer engine as per the articles in the knowledge base, but that may well not work.

The only real solution would be to persuade the game author to recompile the game with the latest AGS version.

I came across the same problem. I could solve it by changing the compatibility modus to win 95 in the properties.

Edit: My mistake. Game starts up but screws the whole system over. Just spend the last half hour to get my computer back without resetting.

The only thing I may suggest is to try running it with a new version of the engine. Depending on what version of AGS the game was made with, this may have some compatibility problems though. 3.3.0 engine supports running games of v.2.5 and higher.

For more information check "Backward compatibility" section in the first post of this thread: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=47966.0

EDIT: Hmm, the topic starter mentions version 2.3. Is it the game of the same version? or exactly the same game? In such case my advice is not a proper one.

Crikey! The past just called.
I'd say this is definitely not worth hassle! Let in rest in peace :)
