Hello,

I had stopped using AGS for some time (about a year). During this time I formatted my laptop. Now I am trying to continue with an (amazing) football game I had started, but I have some difficulties:

It takes me about 5 minutes to  save/test the game. It gets frozen when the text "Creating custom EXE file..." is displayed. I remember that it used to be a verty quick task.

Before this, I couldn't save it at all because I had bad installed the drivers of the graphic card, but I have fixed it.

My computer is an Intel Pentium 1,5 GHz, 1GB RAM, with ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 with Windows XP (DirectX 9). I tried it in another more modern laptop and is also slow although not so slow: it takes about 1 minute to save a completelly new game.

I am using the version downloaded from the web.

Anyone have had a similiar problem? Any clue of what could be happening/ what to check?

Thanks a lot!

Try disabling your antivirus and see if it makes any difference.

Alan, you got it!!

I have disabled the instant protection of the antivirus (Microsoft Security Essentials) and it works perfectly fine now.

I didn't realize that in both computers I have the same antivirus so  that is why both were working slow.

Thanks a lot!
